mayor of Ormoc City and ex-congresswoman of the 4th district of Leyte. Prior to her government service since 2010, she used to be an actress and a television personality. With her win in the recent May 2022 poll, she succeeded her husband, former city mayor Richard Gomez, now in his first term as the congressman of the same district.
She pursued a degree in Parliamentary Procedure
and Good Governance under the National College of Public Administration and Good Governance (NCPAG) at the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, Philippines. She finished her higher education at the University of the Philippines—Cebu with a degree in Business Management. As to her elementary and secondary education, she graduated from the same school, Saint Peter’s College of Ormoc, Ormoc City.
Aside from being a woman of service to her
constituents, Mrs. Gomez is also an esteemed social entrepreneur. She has also been investing her time in her businesses, namely Truest Society, Inc., Ormocana, and Topiary Store, which aim to create and sell unique and modern Filipino lifestyle products. Her ownership of these companies gave the 4th district of Leyte the opportunity to have sustainable development projects for the local constituents, as assured by the highly respected congresswoman turned mayor of Ormoc City. Consistently since 2002, she is a lifestyle columnist for Philippine Star with her own column, Love Lucy.
Mayor Gomez seeks to continue the quality of service her husband gave to the Ormocanons during his two terms as the mayor of Ormoc City.
