1. Should Kelsey begin the process of demoting Rasheed from his management position?
Answer :
● The 360-degree survey shows Rasheed has strong technical skills, like preparing a
workable budget and setting high-performance standards. Even with that strong technical
skills he needs to work on his interpersonal skills and leadership, that has lower ratings in
giving feedback and being approachable.
Rather than demotion, Kelsey could give Rasheed coaching, mentoring, and leadership
training. With this we can hope Rasheed has a chance to improve and grow in his role.
Demotion process could begin if after all the coaching and mentoring Rasheed still did
not improve in the things he needed to improve.
2. What should Rasheed do to improve his performance as a leader and manager based on the
360-degree survey?
Answer :
● To improve his performance as a leader and manager based on the 360-degree survey, He
should work on being more approachable and friendly by engaging more with his team
and being open to communication. He should also learn to give better feedback through
workshops and regular one-on-one meetings, motivate his team by recognizing their
achievements and organizing team-building activities, and improve in creating and
communicating a vision for the team through strategic planning sessions. With added
some training and coaching in term of leadership it could definitely help him improve
more as a manager and also as a person itself
