The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building
in the world, located in Dubai, United
Arab Emirates. With a height of more
than 800 meters, it is an icon of
modern architecture and a very
popular tourist attraction. In addition
to housing offices and residences, it
has a viewing platform on the 148th
floor that offers impressive views of
the city.

reinforced concrete and steel. Its
design includes advanced
engineering systems to withstand its
high altitude and the extreme
weather conditions of the region. The
building also features glass and
aluminum on its facade, giving it its
distinctive modern and shiny look.

History
The Burj Khalifa was designed by the
architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and
construction began in 2004. It was completed in
2010 and officially opened in January of that year.
The building was named after the President of the
United Arab Emirates, Khalifa bin Zayed Al
Nahyan, for his support of the country's economy
and development. Its construction was part of an
ambitious urban development project in Dubai
that included the creation of a new district,
Downtown Dubai, around the building.
Construction Techniques

The Burj Khalifa's Y-shaped design and

concrete core enhance stability and
wind resistance. It has deep
foundations, advanced fire safety
systems, and earthquake resilience.
High-speed elevators travel up to 10
meters per second, and the facade uses
