REFLECTION PAPER

Student name:
Amaguaya Carpio Michael Douglas

Kingston - Ontario
Year: 2024
Individual Reflection Paper

1) It is essential to align the definition of the project scope, associated costs,

and risk identification with the client's expectations and requirements to
ensure ultimate satisfaction.
2) Thorough planning not only establishes a clear roadmap but also fosters
anticipation and preparedness for potential obstacles, enabling more agile
and efficient management of resources and time.
3) Each process in project management pursues specific objectives that
contribute to the overall success of the project, from requirement
identification to the final delivery of the product or service.
4) Utilizing appropriate tools and techniques to gather and document project
requirements is a fundamental pillar to ensure a precise understanding of
stakeholders' needs and clear definition of the project scope.
5) Creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) facilitates the systematic
decomposition of the project scope into manageable tasks, optimizing
resource allocation, progress tracking, and early identification of potential
deviations.
6) Deliverables, such as specific products or services, are the tangible
manifestation of work done and must be clearly defined and managed to
ensure alignment with client expectations and overall project success.
7) The theory of the three constraints (scope, time, and cost) posits that any
change in one of these areas will impact the other two, emphasizing the
importance of careful balance and effective management to achieve
project objectives effectively.
8) Using data flow diagrams to validate project scope allows for a clear visual
representation of system requirements and interactions, facilitating
verification and validation by stakeholders and minimizing ambiguity in
communication.
9) Acceptance criteria establish the standards and conditions that must be
met for the client or stakeholders to approve the delivered product or
service, requiring precise and consensus-driven definition to ensure an
objective and satisfactory evaluation.
10) Identifying and properly managing all stakeholders involved in the project
is essential to minimize conflicts, maximize support, and ensure alignment
of interests with project objectives, significantly contributing to its long-term
success.

2 things you personally would change/improve if given a chance to re-do

the course

contextualize the content of the day, aiding in maintaining a coherent
progression and clarifying any accumulated doubts.
