Hazard

Hazard is any source of potential damage, harm or adverse

health effects on something or someone. Basically, a

hazard is the potential for harm or an adverse effect (for

example, to people as health effects, to organizations as

property or equipment losses, or to the environment).


Disaster
• A disaster is defined as a "sudden or great misfortune" or
simply "any unfortunate event." More precisely, a disaster
is "an event whose timing is unexpected and whose
consequences are seriously destructive." These definitions
identify an event that includes three elements:

• Suddenness

• Unexpectedness

• Significant destruction and/or adverse consequences


Tragedy
The definition of the Tragedy of the Commons
is an economic and environmental science problem
where individuals have access to a shared
resource and act in their own interest, at the
expense of other individuals. This can result in
overconsumption, underinvestment, and depletion
of resources.
Ethics
Ethics is a set of moral obligations that define

right and wrong in our practices and decisions.

Many professions have a formalized system of

ethical practices that help guide professionals in

the field
Animal welfare

The term animal welfare is commonly used to describe

both a branch of science and to describe a concept. As a

science, it involves a measurable state in an animal

and is often related to the adequacy of an animal's

ability to cope with its environment.
