Cole’s vocals and timing was perfect with softer support which made his song a hit. The
song only used strings and vibraphone, which made it have a softer scoring. Frank
Sinatra could swing and croon with intense emotion. Because of his voice he could do
other genres of music like jazz. On the other hand, Bing Crosby had a consistent
mellow tone of voice. The style of his voice was relaxed and soothing compared to the
others. So his songs could easily influence the listener's emotions. The elements of the
crooning style that carried Cole’s and Sinatra's interpretations are emotional connection,
they could be singing about love, sorrow, or joy and make the listeners feel emotions
from a personal level. Some other interpretations are timing and vocal performance.
