ORGANIZING THE BARANGAY PHYSICAL FITNESS AND SPORTS DEVELOPMENT

COUNCIL (BPFSDC) OF BARANGAY LUMBAAN-BICBICA, PINILI, ILOCOS NORTE AND
DEFINING ITS DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS THEREOF

WHEREAS, Republic Act 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991 provides fo
the promotion of Sports Development Program;

WHEREAS, DILG Memorandum Circular No. 20013-33 mandates local government units t
reorganize/reactive Physical Fitness and Sports Development Council;

NOW, THEREFORE, I HON. FE MADARANG TIRO, Punong Barangay, Baranga

Lumbaan-Bicbica, Pinili, Ilocos Norte, by virtue of the powers in me vested by law, do hereby ORDER
Section 1. That the Barangay Physical Fitness and Sports Development Council of Barangay Pagdilao
Pinili, Ilocos Norte, is hereby organized with the following composition:
Chairman: Hon. Fe M. Tiro Punong Barangay
Members: Hon. Hazel L. Abucay SK Chairman and Ex Officio Sangguniang Barangay Member
Hon. Mariecar D. Arucan Sangguniang Barangay Member
Hon. Conrado B. Madarang Sangguniang Barangay Member
HonNoel C. Baldomir Sangguniang Barangay Member
Hon. Rodolfo R. Baldomir Sangguniang Barangay Member
Hon. Angel C. Cadiz Sangguniang Barangay Member
Hon. Ricardo R. Calaycay Sangguniang Barangay Member
Hon. Marife M. Pidot Sangguniang Barangay Member

Section 2. That the Barangay Physical and Sports Development Council shall have the following dutie
and functions:

1. Meet at least once a month to plan and formulate a blue print for the short, medium and long term for th
sectorial sports based on the National Policy and Program of Sports;
2. Conduct local “Sports Summit” in consultation with other public and private entities concerned t
identify and prioritize sports programs and activities in their respective areas of concern and to monito
review and validate the program;
3. Oversee and ensure the implementation of the Physical Fitness and Sports Program and activities in the
respective areas of concerns; i. e DepEd for Physical Education and school sports, DILG and LGU’s fo
community based sports, DND for military sports, DOLE for labor sports, POC and NSAs elite sports fo
International competitions and GAB for professional sports;
4. Disseminate proper information on the national policy and program, including their local programs t
encourage the active participation of their constituents on physical fitness and sports activities;
5. Assist in the identification, recruitment and training of gifted and talented athletes;
6. Submit Quarterly report to the Chairman of the National PFSDC and furnish a copy of the same to th
Philippine Sports Commission; and
7. Perform other functions deemed necessary to promote and implement the National Policy and Program.

Section 3. This order shall take effect immediately.
