You are to note the following :

a. the Gas Plans DO NOT set out and/or identify all services that may be within the relevant area(s);
b. the gas pipe positions shown in the Gas Plans are indicative.

2 We wish to draw your attention to the provisions of the Gas Act, Chapter 116A and to :

a. take all precautionary measures to prevent damaging gas pipes at your worksite;
b. contact Earthworks Surveillance & Patrolling (ESP) Section admin during office hours at Tel: 69165119 or email
espsection@spgroup.com.sg if you need advice on gas pipe damage prevention;
c. submit written notices to SP PowerGrid Ltd if you have to carry out earthworks in the vicinity of gas pipes at least
seven days prior to commencing the earthworks;
d. Obtain surveyed drawings if earthworks come within the vicinity of Gas Transmission Pipeline (GTP). This is
mandatory and it is your duty to evaluate if there is any GTP within your work area.

5 If diversion is required, it may take between a few weeks to several months from the date of receipt of payment.
Commencement of works is subjected to road opening approval given by the relevant authorities. You are advised to avoid
the need for diversion of GTP, where possible, as it requires a lot more resources and time.

Notes for Working Near Existing Gas Mains

1)Before commencement of earthworks near to gas mains, you
are required to submit Notice for Commencement of Earthworks
(NCE) to SPPG - MEA and comply with all SPPG’s requirements.
For earthworks near to LPB, MP and/or GTP gas pipes, additional
consultation(s) with SPPG - DPOM and/or TPOM section(s) is/are
required.

2)The gas pipe positions shown in the Gas Plan are indicative and
can only be positively identified through trial holes.

3)The symbols V, SY & SP represent locations of Gas Valve, Gas

Syphon and Gas Standpipe respectively. No concealment or
covering of manhole covers is allowed.

4)A report must be made to Customer Service Centre (CSC), upon

detecting the presence of gas by using a gas detecting device or by
smell. Tel: 1800-752-1800.

5)All gas pipes shall be treated as live unless SPPG has confirmed
to you that they have been abandoned. You shall write to
GasEnquiry@spgroup.com.sg to request SPPG to conduct a gas
pipe verification test prior to removing any such gas pipe.

strictly confidential and solely for the use of the requestor to whom
these Documents have been issued. These Documents shall in no

uploaded, posted, transmitted or otherwise distributed in any way.

3)This gas plan is issued for the use of the project only and is to
be destroyed after use. This gas plan is only valid for three months
from the date of purchase.

4)SPPG disclaims any liability for any damage or loss that may be
caused to or suffered by or incurred by any person directly or
indirectly as a result of any error or omission or any action taken
by any person to remove any gas pipe.
