The microswitch 16HM4 is a typical wear part for numerous valve PNs (see table below). LHT has a replacement
rate of approx. 10 – 20 % (depending on the LRU PN).
LHT experiences supply chain issues (parts shortages) on the switch, which results in work stoppage and ultimately
causes critical LRU availabilities.
LHT is asking for an alternate switch, which can be used as an OEM confirmed optional item for Switch PNR
16HM4.
Most bleed valves returned from service are found to have a sluggish movement of the butterfly assembly. The ball
bearing PNR A027020101-1 is a typical wear part of the bleed valve which contributes to the sluggish movement
and therefore a replacement is required.
LHT experiences a supply chain issue (part shortages) on the ball bearing, which results in work stoppage and
ultimately causes critical LRU availabilities.
LHT is asking for an alternate bearing, which can be used as an OEM confirmed optional item for ball bearing PNR

The reed switch (P/N 32P0049) is a frequently changed part of the LRU.
Since March 2023 we have had delivery problems with the Reed Switch (P/N 32P0049) from Safran Techspace
Aero. Currently Safran does not provide any confirmed dates for the ordered switches and the delivery time is
currently several months.
This supply chain issue results in work stoppage and ultimately causes critical LRU availabilities.
Bleed Fail is one of E190 Worldwide Fleet (WWF) Top 10 reason for delays and cancellations.
Austrian also has major problems with the bleed system and is replacing every year around 50 valves of following
PNRs:
1. Nacelle Pressure Regulating and Shutoff Valve (NAPRSOV), PNR: 1013952-1, CMM 36-11-52
2. High Pressure Shutoff Valve (HPSOV), PNR: 1001246-3, CMM 36-11-30
For Austrian it is not understandable that neither Embraer nor Collins as OEM are working on an improvement,
although this is a worldwide problem. Are other operators aware of this?
