Please be advised that the Senate Committee on Social Justice, Welfare and Rural
Development, Joint with the Committee on Finance, will hold a Technical Working Group (TWG)
meeting on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sen. Pecson Room, 2nd Floor, Senate of
the Philippines.

The Committee will discuss the following legislative measures:


1. SBN 1821 - AN ACT INSTITUTIONALIZING THE ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS IN CRISIS
SITUATION (AICS) PROGRAM AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR (Sen. Tulfo);
2. SBN 2032 - AN ACT INSTITUTIONALIZING THE ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS IN CRISIS
SITUATION PROGRAM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT,
PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF CERTAIN UNLAWFUL ACTS, AND APPROPRIATING
FUNDS THEREFOR (Sens. Angara and Gatchalian);
3. SBN 2328 - AN ACT PROVIDING FOR AID TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES SEEKING MEDICAL,
FUNERAL, FOOD, TRANSPORTATION, EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE, PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT AND
OTHER SUPPORT SERVICES, INSTITUTIONALIZING FOR THIS PURPOSE THE ASSISTANCE TO
INDIVIDUALS IN CRISIS SITUATION (AICS) PROGRAM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE
AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD), APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES (Sen. Marcos); and

4. SBN 2638 - AN ACT INSTITUTIONALIZING THE ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS IN CRISIS


SITUATION PROGRAM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT,
PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF CERTAIN UNLAWFUL ACTS, AND APPROPRIATING
FUNDS THEREFOR (Sen. Go).
In this regard, the Committee is inviting you as a Resource Person to this meeting to hear
and be enlightened by your office’s informed opinion on the subject bills.

The Committee is likewise requesting for your valuable comments and/or position paper to
be submitted on or before 10 June 2024 (Monday). This will help in further enhancing and
formulating the aforementioned legislative measures. Attached are copies of the subject measures
for your ready reference.
