Dear Parent/Guardian of Sirley Gonzalez Cruz, Pui ki Law
At Chicago Public Schools, we do much more than prepare students to graduate from
plaw1@cps.edu
high school, we also work hard to give our students the knowledge, skills, and resources Rachel Madrid
to succeed in college, career, and civic life. This is so important to us that all students are rimadrid1@cps.edu
required to chart a course for life beyond our walls through the Learn.Plan.Succeed. initiative.

• How can my child progress academically?
• What options are available after high school graduation? abarron33@cps.edu

2: Have your child use SchooLinks (cps.edu/SchooLinks), the official CPS college and career
readiness platform where they can learn about careers, research colleges, communicate
with counselors, request school transcripts, and research and apply for scholarships using
the scholarship matching tool found in the Finances section. Students can log in with their
CPS username and password.

3: If your child has an IEP/504 Plan, attend their IEP/504 meetings to explore transition
programming options. Transition programming should be reflected in your child’s IEP
and transition plan.

4: Use the “Time to Begin Your Conversations” questions in this report to identify concrete
steps your child will need to take during and after high school to meet their
postsecondary goals.

We thank you for playing an active role in your child’s education and wish you and your
entire family continued success this school year.

Sincerely,

Pedro Martinez Bogdana Chkoumbova
