Campaign 2022

Campaign Outline

This campaign is a “slow grow” narrative driven campaign using the Warhammer Fantasy 8th edition
rules that will take place over 12 weeks. Players will choose one race from the Warhammer Fantasy
universe to play for the entirety of the campaign and compete to accumulate Battle Points (BPs) to
determine the fate of the campaign narrative.

The 12 weeks will be broken down into six 2-week sessions running Monday to Sunday. During each
session, players will be assigned a pairing and the campaign manager will post the scenario for the
session. Each pairing has two weeks to complete their game. These are the games that will determine
how the narrative story unfolds. Although the assigned pairing counts for story progression, players may
wish to play additional games to score more BPs.

General Game Rules

8th edition Warhammer Fantasy Rulebook and FAQ will be the basis of game play. Armies will use their
most recent army book and related FAQ: 8th edition for most, 7th edition for Beastmen and Skaven, 6th
edition for Bretonnia, and Legion of Azgorh from Tamurkhan for Chaos Dwarves.

The BC Tabletop Gaming discord -> Warhammer Fantasy subchannel has been created to facilitate
campaign notifications, pairing information, and communications related to the campaign.

Scoring Battle Points

In each two-week session, players can score a maximum of 5 Battle Points. BPs are awarded for the
following actions:

• Winning a game – 2 BPs

• Losing a game – 1 BP
• Raise banners – 1 BP
• Army on Parade – 1BP (can only be claimed once per session)

Raise Banners: Players will score 1 BP for playing a game with a newly painted character or regiment. To
claim this point, photos of the unit before/after must be uploaded to the discord channel “2022-Painting
Challenge”.

Army on Parade: Players will score 1 BP for playing a game with a fully painted army (3 colour + base).
This battle point may only be awarded once per campaign session.

When playing additional games to score BPs, players will not be awarded any points for Wins/Losses if
playing the same opponent multiple times in the same session.

Army Building and Restrictions

Each player will create and upload an army list to discord the Sunday before each session begins. The
lists will be locked in for the course of the session and cannot be changed until the next session (this is
to create fairness and prevent list tailoring).

Players will pick two characters to be their dramatis personae for the campaign. Every list must contain
one or both of these characters during the campaign. It is highly encouraged to name these characters
and include a brief backstory on the “Campaign Narrative” discord channel.

Restrictions:

• No named special characters

• Points limits for each session are maximums, i.e. For 1250pts, lists must be 1250pts or less. Lists
of 1251pts will be rejected.
• Up to 50% allowance for Lords and Heroes as per BRB FAQ
• Wizards must select their lore when the list is submitted and cannot change during the session •
Units from the End Times and Lore of Undeath are not permitted

Campaign Schedule

Lists for the first session must be uploaded to discord on Sept. 25th. The first session each player will
create a 1250pt force, including one or both of their listed characters above. The campaign schedule will
then proceed as follows:
