Health and Safety Protocol

The Big Apple Packaging Inc., adopts this health and safety protocol as we recognized that
workers are some of its most valuable assets and is therefore totally dedicated to improving the
personal lives of all of its workers. Adding this Protocol to the list of steps that will help achieve
this aim.

This Protocol may be amended in the future as Big Apple Packaging Inc. is continuously
improving and growing.

1. Employees’ health at every day work

All employees are mandated to be checked and tested upon entry to the premises. Temperature
and physical check are done to assure the employee is in good working condition. If the
temperature is > 37oC, the employee is not allowed to enter and will be advised to see a doctor.
Upon return, he/she needs to bring a medical certificate with fit-to-work.

2. Annual Medical Exam

The company provides mandatory Annual PE to its regular employees and is done every 1 st
quarter of the year. Any negative results, the employee is advised to see a doctor for further
consultation. Fit-to-work is advised, otherwise, unfit workers will have to undergo treatment
until approved by the physician.

3. Fire Safety

In case of fire; earthquake; or any natural disaster. Employees are advised to follow the safety
protocol. This also includes training provided to them by Bureau of Fire Protection Officers.

4. Occupational Safety and Health Training

The Human Resources Training and Development ensure that OSH and any other related
training such as Fire and Safety Drill would be indicated in the Annual Training Plan. This is to
make sure that all employees are equipped with enough knowledge regarding health and safety
when they perform their job to prevent accidents; or any thing that would cause harm to
themselves.
5. Access to Healthcare and Facilities

In case of accidents that are work-related, first-aid is given by the first-aiders on duty. An
incident report is implemented. If needed, employees will be taken to the nearest hospital
or clinic. In addition to this, employees have access to medical supplies from the clinic
and office. Facilities inside the company are also sanitized (toilets, canteen, etc.) In
regards to this, cleaning and sanitation of toilet and washing area is done by the assigned
cleaning personnel. Sanitation of walls; flooring; toilet bowl and laboratory is done by
flashing with water and sanitizing agent. Damping with dry cloth and mop is done to
keep the area dry and free from mold’s growth. All employees as users of the toilet and
washing area, are given instructions to keep the area clean. Cabinet for cleaning materials
and cleaning chemicals with padlock is provided to secure all materials. Pest control is
also done annually by accredited external provider.

6. No discrimination, and Anti-Harassment

All employees have equal opportunity in all aspects; which include, but are not limited
to: hiring, career development, and evaluation. They are treated based on their
capabilities, achievements, and performance. The Human Resources will give assistance
and take necessary action to those employees who perform harm to others, and won’t
tolerate unacceptable behavior. As such, a random welfare checking is done. The HRD
are always open to provide comfort and safe space for everyone.
