SUBJECT : 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2023

1. The National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) is a major endeavor

spearheaded by the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) that aims to enhance
preparedness through the regular conduct of drills/exercises. It seeks to educate
the public on disaster preparedness against earthquakes and tests the
contingency plans of Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils
(LDRRMCs).

2. To that end, all employees are enjoined to participate in this activity at 2:00 PM
today, March 9, 2022. Likewise as you heard the shaking sound, everyone is
advised to execute the Drop, Cover, Hold technique the shaking sound stop at
10 seconds then proceed to their predesignated Evacuation Areas as soon as it
is safe to do so.
