Unit Vector (Importance)
 1D vector
A vector which either lies on the coordinate axis,
or lies parallel to any of them is a 1D vector.

Ax = a i Dx = d (- i)

By = b j Ey = e (- j)

Cx = c k Fx = f (- k)
 2D vector
A = A x i + Ay j
 3D vector
A vector which either lies in space and not on any axis or plane.

A = Ax i + Ayj + Azk
Addition of vectors
● Triangle law of vector addition
● Parallelogram law of vector addition
● Polygon law of vector addition
 Addition of vectors - Triangle law
When head of one of the vectors (A) is placed over tail of the other vector (B),
Then on joining the remaining tail to head a Triangle is formed.
And the final side of this triangle represents the resultant of the two vectors.

When to use Triangle law?
Addition of vector (parallelogram law)
When Tails of both the vectors (A and B) are placed together and they are
redrawn parallelly, such that they form a Parallelogram, then the Diagonal,
which also originates from the same point represents the Resultant of the two
vectors.

Polygon law of vector addition states

that if a number of vectors can be
represented in magnitude and direction
by the sides of a polygon taken in the
same order, then their resultant is
represented in magnitude and direction
by the closing side of the polygon taken
in the opposite order.
