b. Determine the meaning of words with suffixes.
c. Use the correct word with suffixes to complete the given
sentences.

Suffix
- is a letter or letters added at the end of a root word to form a new
word
- a suffix usually changes how a word is used in a sentence
- sometimes a spelling change occurs when a suffix is
added to a root word.

Common Suffixes:

5. Suffixes which refer to a person or thing that does


something.

Using words with suffixes in sentences:


1. Cathy Garcia Molina is a renowned movie director.
2. The next presentor will be called after 5 minutes.

Note:
 If the root word ends in vowel letters, just add the suffix r
to form a new word, but if the root word ends in consonant
letters except y, add the suffix er.
 If the root word ends in y, change y to i and add er to
form a new word.
