BUOYANCY CHAMBER – Assembling the buoyancy
chamber on the hull
II-1-INSTALLING THE BUOYANCY CHAMBER ON THE HULL E
N
The buoyancy chamber is delivered installed on the hull. Follow the instructions below when G
replacing the buoyancy chamber. L
I
NOTE: The buoyancy chamber is fitted to the hull with the buoyancy
S
chamber deflated.
H
To facilitate the positioning of the buoyancy chamber, apply liquid soap (a) to the hull rails
Position the buoyancy chamber’s rope (a) on the hull’s rail (b) situated at the forward end
of the hull. Pull the buoyancy chamber until the mini-boltrope is brought opposite the
forward rail (c).
Page 21/68

chamber on the hull
3
Pass the buoyancy chamber front strap through the channel plate and adjust the
longitudinal position by tightening or relaxing the strap. The buoyancy chamber is
properly positioned when the rubber side fender embeds itself into the forward polyester
notch.

II-4-1-Inflating the buoyancy chamber
• Place the adapter corresponding to the diameter of the semi built-in valve at the inflator E
hose nozzle. N
Inflate the buoyancy mechanism, balancing the pressure between the different G
compartments until the partitions (a) are no longer visible (pressure = 240 mb) L
I
Never pressurise a a S
compartment when the H
others are completely
deflated
II-4-2-Pressure
The correct pressure for the buoyancy chamber is 240 mb/ 3.4 PSI
Page 25/68
BUOYANCY CHAMBER - Pressure
RISK OF UNDERPRESSURE:
RISK OF OVERPRESSURE:
EXAMPLE: Your boat is inflated to its recommended pressure (240 mb/3.4 PSI) at
the beginning or end of the day (low outside temperature = 10°C). Later in the day, your boat
is exposed in the sun on the beach or on a yacht deck (temperature = 50°C). The temperature
inside the inflatable compartments may rise to 70°C (particularly for dark buoyancy
chambers), doubling the initial pressure (480 mb). YOU WILL THEN NEED TO
DEFLATE the boat to return to the recommended pressure.

INSTALLATION AND CIRCUIT - Fuel
Changing the filter cartridge:
Fuel is extremely inflammable. SWITCH OFF THE ENGINE, disconnect the battery and do
not smoke or install the kit near to a naked flame. Put a drainage funnel under the place where
the cartridge will be replaced.
Before replacing the filter, the pressure in the fuel feed system must be released.
- When not using your boat, close the petrol circuit valve.
NOTE: - When you are going to use your boat, open the fuel circuit valve.

The boat is fitted as standard or version with 2 bilge pumps, navigation lights, a shower kit,
lighting for the deck and cabin and drain facilities for the toilet. However, 2 locations remain
available on the fuse box (under the console) for the connecting of additional accessories
under certain conditions:
The accessories you want to add must be connected at the level of the console.
Accessories are divided into two categories:
A → accessories that are used or which may be used continuously during normal use of
the boat,
B → accessories that are used intermittently.

You must make sure that the total power of the accessories in
column A you add is 180W (15A) or less AND the max power of
an accessory in column B is 60W (5A) or less.
The sections of the cables in the harness were calculated using
these values; if this rule is not adhered to, electrical malfunctions
WARNING
and short-circuits may result.
You may connect the options directly to the positive and negative console bus bars (within the
max. power limits), using an approved fuse-holder.

CONCLUSION
Some manufacturers will indicate the amperage rather than the absorbed
power. For direct current (the case here), simply multiply by 12 to obtain
NOTE: the power and divide the power by 12 to obtain the device's current
consumption.

IV-2-9-BILGE PUMP OPERATION
The bilge pump works independently from the battery isolation switch position, the control E
N
switch is always on.
G
Automatic mode (fixed position); in this position the bilge pump works automatically.
The indicator light is on. L
Off; in this position (set position), the bilge pump is shut down. The indicator light is off. I
Forced starting; the switch has to be held depressed to obtain forced starting type S
operation. As soon as you release the switch, it returns to OFF (2). H

IV-2-10-Battery (not supplied)
Comply with ZODIAC's recommendations and with the recommendations of the battery
manufacturer for standard maintenance.
Keep the battery clean and dry in order to avoid premature wear.
Tighten and maintain the terminal lugs by greasing them regularly with
vaseline.
NOTE: When you stop using the boat, set the circuit-breaker to OFF.

You may not always be able to use the full capability, it will depend on the trim, loading, and
position of the filling and draining points (if any).
Keep yourself informed about local regulations for respecting the environment, and comply
with codes of good practice.
Comply with the International regulations for preventing pollution in the marine environment
(Marpol).
Page 53/68
-2- Recovery using the harbour pumping system (ask the harbourmaster about the black water
recovery arrangements in the harbour):
- open the deck drain hole marked "waste",
- insert the pumping suction rod into the opening,
- continue suction until the tank is empty,
- close the drain hole at the end of the operation.
For reasons of hygiene, don’t forget to get the state of the charcoal filter connected to the
black water tank vent checked annually.
Rinse the system each time after use: fill the bowl with seawater or freshwater and then empty
it.
Clean using the same products as used for domestic purposes.
The system must be drained if the boat is parked in sub-zero temperatures.
In order to respect the environment:
Never discharge the contents of the retention tanks when near the coast, use the pumping
systems in harbours or marinas to empty the retention tanks before leaving harbour.
Make sure that the WC bowl emptying valve is closed in order to prevent any inadvertent
discharge.

The boat is delivered without a fire extinguisher; complying with the national regulations of
the country in which your boat is registered is your responsibility. When in use, the boat must
be fitted with portable extinguishers.
The recommended location for the extinguisher is shown on the diagram above.
Take care to keep the bilges clean and check at regular intervals that there are no gas or fuel
leaks or vapours.
Never leave the boat unattended when cooking and/or heating equipment is in use.
Do not smoke while handling gas or fuel.
Do not obstruct the safety controls, for example: fuel stopcocks, gas stopcocks, electrical
system switches.
Do not fill the fuel tanks or replace gas cylinders while the engine is running or when cooking
equipment is in use.
