Dear Disney Cultural Exchange Program recruiter,

my name is Isabel Pereira and I’m writing this letter appling for an
opportunity at the Disney Cultural Exchange Program.
I'm a 6th semester Biomedicine student, a area which is known for laboratories
activities and sometimes introspective labor. But my intention is to follow a
career where I'll be able to interact with patients; for this purpose, I’m looking
forward experiences to improve my performance.
Until October, I'm an intern at Vila Rica Medical Diagnostic Imaging Center,
and I've been at this position for almost two years. There I assist patients,
during anamnesis, instructing or positioning them, focusing on achieve the best of
results. In this internship, I'm able to perform an great job because of what I had
learned it in my past volunteering at Word of Life São Paulo's Resort.
In 2019, I started the volunteer program wanting to be part of the kids
supporting team, but I was designed to be a photographer in my first year and
redesigned as a receptionist in the following two years, during families summer
vacation season.
Those roles wasn't what I expected nor wanted, but after I had the chance to
interact with every guest at the hotel and helped not only the guests but also the
whole team, it turned out that I liked more what I was doing than what I thought I
wanted; getting me into pursuing a similar career in my graduation area.
After this huge plot twist, my supervisor taught me a valuable lesson that, in
the end, the guest's experiences matters more than what we actually want, and if
the team work together with attention, inclusion, courtesy and efficiency, every
effort is going to worth it.
From that day, I apply this knowledge daily; not only because I was taught
this way, but it became a lifestyle. A lifestyle I know Disney also has when it
comes to service.
My first live experience with the company was at Disney On Ice, back in my
childhood with my family. It felt incredible and since then, we love and still
remember cozy moments, whom embrace dear characters and songs.
It was special for us and there are more specials moments I would be honored
to be part of; not only representing Disney in some role, but also being part of a
team who works hard to make the magic alive for every kind of guests.
An opportunity like this would improve my skills even more, and develop
different areas in my life, where I can learn and grow with my co-workers, focusing
on the guests; and those lessons will go beyond Disney barriers, getting into
Brazil and wherever I’ll go.
My most and sincerely gratitude to Student Travel Bureau and The Walt Disney
Company for being with me in every step of this journey, it was a honor to be part
of this selection. I hope our curiosity keeps leading us to same paths. Have a
great day!
Gratefully,
Isabel Pereira Cerqueira.
