AMICIS EN SU OBRA “CORAZÓN”
Evidentemente.
Amicis, por una síntesis admirable que obliga a hacer a sus lectores
infantiles, logra que en ellos nazcan las ideas generales más
complejas, más elevadas, de más trascendencia para la evolución
de su intelecto, ideas que van impregnándose en sus almas hasta
formar parte integrante de su psiquismo, sin esfuerzo, sin cansancio,
casi de un modo inconsciente.
Y es que Amicis hace penetrar sus ideas por la vía del sentimiento
más bien que por la intelectual. No llega a conclusiones, hace que el
lector las deduzca. Con cuadros galanamente coloridos, con
descripciones elocuentes, con anécdotas de alto interés, atrae la
atención, destruye la versatilidad de las almas infantiles y las fija en
las páginas de su libro, páginas que, gráciles y ligeras, no fatigan
sus espíritus, y del mismo modo que al tocar una mariposa de vivos
colores, queda en los dedos un polvillo dorado, en las almas de los
niños, al seguir las frases de Amicis—mariposas de alas
abigarradas—queda, como polvo de oro, depositado el recuerdo de
rasgos de deber, de abnegación, de filantropía, de patriotismo, y al
agruparse después en la elaboración incesante de sus cerebros,
surgen las nociones de familia, de Escuela, de Patria, de
Humanidad.
Y “Corazón” lo consigue.
