State of the art: Longitudinal models

The vehicle model will serve for the case study of a longitudinal model, thus neglecting
lateral forces and movements of the vehicle.
A model is an adaptive longitudinal driving system, usually also ACC system (ACC =
Adaptive Cruise Control).

A case could be a long-distance trip on the AP7 freeway, the information can be
obtained in different ways:

- A first alternative is to obtain the information by means of sensor radars provided on

the side of the vehicle. The sensor radars have a detection zone of 100 - 200 m.
- A car-to-car communication. This means that the transformation flows through the
different vehicles, providing information to all of them in order to manage better
- Engine control module: receives data from the ACC module and controls the speed
via the accelerator.
- Brake control module: determines the speed with sensors installed on the wheels,
triggering them if requested by the ACC module.

Grantt diagram:
With this Grantt's diagram we want to reflect what we have decided among all the
members of the group, a small estimate of the time it will take approximately to perform
the different tasks proposed for this project, where we take into account the project
planning, thinking and creation of the autonomous vehicle, the different configurations,
conclusions and finally the preparation of the final presentation.
