COURSE TITLE: SPECIAL METHODS III (POST TEACHING

PRACTICE/REMEDIATION)

INTRODUCTION

On the 3rd of July,2024, i went for my post teaching practice at Beje Model College, Atan road,
Oke Agbo, Ijebu Igbo. I got to the school at 7:46am. I was assigned to observe a teacher whose
name is Miss Olowoodo Adenike, teaching Economics. The class started at exactly 8:00am and
ended at 8:40am.

CHALLENGES OBSERVED

During the teaching, the challenges the teacher had was that the students due to the rainfall were
cold and due to the cold, only a few amount of students could pay close attention to what they
were being taught.

The teacher was continuously called back by the students to clarify on what she has written on
the chalkboard and this cause a drawback to the teacher during the lesson.

classwork.

Marking Guide:

Both questions were awarded 5 marks each.

RECOMMENDATION

I observed that the teacher's teaching was affected by the weather which affected the students
rate at which they paid attention to the lesson and this was caused due to the poor state of the
classroom windows. I would recommend that the windows are repaired and well constructed to
avoid this kind of situation from coming up again.

The poor state of the chalkboard affected the teachers writing on the board and this made the
students call her back to the notes on the board, repeatedly asking for the words they find hard to
see. The school should ensure that their chalkboard are painted regularly to avoid the
inconvenience caused to the teacher.
