A retail company specializing in consumer goods, due to the COVID restriction they wish to
move the online sales and ERP system. They are approaching you to get more details on their
decisions.
(a) What are the difficulties on implement online sales and ERP system?
(b) Why do you need to store the customer transactions details?
(c) List down the organization’s influence factors and elaborate the impacts on moving
online sales and ERP system.
(d) List down possible outputs (reports) in the above scenario.
(e) Briefly explain that how can you determine the organization’s influence factor(s) exist
by using the reports.
(f) What is an ERP system?
(g) Why do you require ERP system for online sales?
(h) Write a report to non-technical board member of the organization, about the concept of
ERP system and design to ensure the successful implementation.

Question 2
A firm wishes to develop a knowledge-based system to use by its customers but competing
firms of only provide telephone or face-to-face advice. The firm would be responsible for
entering the knowledge data and answering any queries beyond the scope of the new
knowledge-based system. The firm broadly agrees with this approach, but they are concerned
that it could damage reputation if the knowledge-based gave any wrong advice.
As an independent consultant, you should advise the firm
(a) Describe the knowledge-based systems and explain how can we evolve the systems
without impact the firm.
(b) Provide a plan to implement a knowledge-based system implementation.
(c) List down the IT professional who involved in the implementation activities
(d) List down the risks you anticipate to this project.
(e) Explain the testing process of knowledge-based system.

restore confidence in the MIS function and to lead a re-development of its corporate systems.
The MIS department implantation is failed due to misunderstandings. You have been asked to
make a presentation to demonstrate your suitability of the position.
(a) Briefly explain the role of the MIS Manager.
(b) Explain the planning difficulties of this project.
(c) Provide your strategy to downsize the team without impact the project delivery?
(d) Why is effective decision-making important? Explain the decision-making process.
(e) Briefly explain about Information Silos and Systems Integration.

Question 4

People will access the hotel reservation system using the Internet. Raj decided to have a best
and expensive firewall in the hotel reservation system and not to purchase an anti-virus
software to save money. The automated reservation is being designed for the proposed
system and it allows the guests to access the website of the hotel to make a reservation from
anywhere in the world. Guests will then get immediate confirmation of their reservation.

One of our hotels is a victim of a disaster.

(a) Briefly explain the impact of the business.
(b) What is Business Continuity Planning (BCP)? How can it help to minimize the
impact on this scenario?
(c) Why do we need a Business Continuity Planning (BCP) “Governance”? How will we
maintain it?
(d) List down the benefits of BCM.
(e) What are the critical functions and/or services that must be delivered to continue the
