Clinical history : Low backache radiating to lower limb.

-
Findings:

Lumbar curvature is maintained.

Mild ligamentum flavum hypertrophy at lower lumbar levels. Reduceil LS/sl disc height.

Ll/L2 disc level : Mild disc bulge without nerve root compression.

L4lL5 disc level : Disc bulge causing narrowing of bilateral tateral recess and left
neural foramina with mild abutment over bilatera! travercing nerve roots.

L5/sl disc level : Disc bulge with overriding smafl posterocentral disc protrusion
causing narrowing of bilateral laterat recess with compresgion over bilateral
traversing nerve roots. Mild secondary central canat stenosis.

Midline AP canal diameter at various levels :

L1-L2 15.2 mm
L2-L3 15.4 mm
L3-L4 15.0 mm
L4-LS 15.2 mm
Ls-Sl 9.9 mm
vertebral bodies are otherwise normal in height, alignment and marrow signal intensity.

Rest of the intervertebral discs are normal in height and signal intensity

No significant disc herniation/neural compression seen at any other level.

Bony canal is capacious at all levels with no obvious canal stenosis.

Distal cord and conus medullaris region appear normal in MR morphology.

Posterior spinal elements are normal.

IMPRESSION:

o L4lL5 disc level : Disc bulge causing narrowing of bilateral lateral recess and teft
neural foramina with mild abutment over bilateral travercing nerve roots.

o LS/SI disc level : Disc- bulge with overriding small poaterocentra! disc protrusion
causing narrowing of bilateral tatera! recess with compression over bilateral
traversing nerye roots. Mild secondary central canal stenosis.
