Terms & Conditions of the Quiz

1. Participant Information:
o Participants can join the quiz by filling out the required personal information.
o If you are a student, please ensure you have obtained consent from your
parent/guardian to participate in this quiz.
o Any user can log in with contact Number, email ID or both
2. Parental/Guardian Consent:
o As a parent/guardian, by allowing your child to participate, you consent to the use of
the provided information for the purposes of awarding prizes and certificates of
participation.
3. Prize Enquiries:
o The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) will be responsible for handling any enquiries
regarding prize money and winners.
o Please contact BIS at the below mentioned email id or phone number for resolving
any queries related to quiz:

o Note: NCERT will not be responsible under any circumstances for the winners
regarding prize money.
4. Winners Eligibility Criteria:
o Eligibility criteria for winners will be clearly defined and include:
 Correct answers to a certain number of quiz questions in a minimum time.
 Adherence to the quiz rules and regulations.
 Share Valid and complete personal information

Guidelines of the Quiz


1. The quiz questions are designed carefully to create the knowledge and awareness about the
Indian Standards.
2. Each question in the quiz is in the Multiple-choice format and has only one correct answer.
3. There will be no negative marking.
4. After responding to a question, Click on the “Next Arrow Button“ to go to the next question.
5. After attempting questions, a final submission should be clicked. No changes can be made after
the final submission.
6. The quiz is presented in English.
7. Duration of the quiz will be 120 minutes (2 hours), during which a maximum of 15 questions
can be answered. Participants may take part in the quiz from 09:00AM to 05:00 PM on 20th
June 2024. Students can attempt as many questions as possible within a given time frame.
8. All the participants are provided with an e-certificate for participation.
9. Gratifications:
a. Ten First Prizes of Rs. 25,000 /- each,
b. Ten Second Prizes of Rs. 15,000/- each,
c. Forty Third Prizes of Rs. 10,000/- each, and
d. Fifty Consolation Prizes of Rs. 5,000/- each.
10. This Quiz is open for participation by anyone who is a citizen of India.
11. The questions in the quiz are related to various Indian Standards published by BIS, various BIS
activities and related information, Quality, Science, etc.
12. The Indian Standards are free to download, and the participant is required to register
themselves on https://standardsbis.bsbedge.com for downloading Indian Standards for free,
since referencing the same would be required to answer the questions. In case the hyperlink is
inactive, the participants are requested to copy and paste the URL on the Browser and register.
13. The participants are also recommended to make themselves aware of “Know Your Standards”
option on BIS website, www.bis.gov.in and/or BIS Care App on Android Play Store, iOS App
Stores, as the same is necessary to answer the questions in the quiz.
14. In case of any dispute, the decision of the organizers will be final and binding
15. Multiple entries from the same participant will not be accepted. You are allowed to attempt the
quiz only once and only one option will be accepted for a question. However, you may revise
your answer before final submission.
16. Submission of your personal details are essential for ranking as per your obtained marks.
Bonafide documents (proof of identity, address and bank details) will be required to be
submitted by the winners after announcement of the result of the quiz. Non-furnishing of the
above Information/documents at appropriate stage will render the selection null and void.
17. NCERT can use these personal details for academic purposes and to acknowledge your
accomplishment.
18. Discovery/detection/noticing of use of any unfair/spurious means/malpractices, including but not
limited to impersonation, double participation etc., during the participation in the quiz, will
result in the participation being declared null and void and hence, will be rejected. The
organizers of the quiz competition or any agency acting on their behalf reserves the right in this
regard.
19. BIS Employees/Pensioners, and personnel directly or indirectly connected with organizing the
quiz, are not eligible to participate in the quiz. This ineligibility also applies to their immediate
family members.
20. The Bureau of Indian Standards will disburse the winning amount/ rewards to the selected
winner(s) after publishing the Winner Announcement Blog on BIS website www.bis.gov.in.
21. The decision of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and CIET-NCERT on the Quiz shall be
final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the same.
