When considering the external skin condition, acne occurs
when dead skin cells block the oil duct, leading to excess
oil, bacteria, or inflammation. This results in blackheads
and pimples on the skin’s surface. However, it’s essential to
understand why this happens, which brings us to the internal
factors. Increased androgen hormone levels, polycystic ovarian
syndrome, low stomach acid, leaky gut syndrome, and other
factors have been shown to play a role in the development
and recurrence of acne.
Unlike conventional off-the-shelf products that superficially
reduce oil and strip the skin of natural oils, causing dryness and
tightness, our approach is different. We recognise that each
individual is unique and that what works for one person may
not work for another. That’s why we don’t offer a standalone
treatment or standard solution for acne. Our doctors thoroughly
consult to understand your needs, conditions, expectations,
and budget. They will then tailor a customised treatment

We offer a range of effective skin treatments that may be
recommended for acne management. These include Deep
cleanse facials, Chemical peels, Laser & Light treatments
(such as laser genesis and PDT for healing and anti-bacterial
properties), and Carboxytherapy.
The prices of these treatments vary depending on the specific
procedure and combination of treatments in a session. We
understand that budget considerations are important, and our
team will work with you to create a customised treatment plan
that aligns with your needs and preferences.
In addition to the skin treatments, our doctors may recommend
oral supplements to address the condition from within. They
will also prescribe medical-strength topical homecare products,
which are specially formulated and can only be prescribed by
medical professionals. These products are crucial for preparing
the skin for in-clinic treatments and maintaining your daily
skincare routine at home.
Please note that these treatments are not suitable for individuals
who are pregnant or taking medications such as Roaccutane.
The frequency of the skin treatments typically ranges from
every 2-4 weeks, depending on the specific treatment and
your budget. It is recommended that patients undergo
6-10 treatments to achieve optimal results.
To get started, your first step is to book an appointment with one
of our doctors. During the consultation, they will analyse the area
and provide personalised recommendations. Please note that a
consultation fee of R600 is payable in advance to secure your
booking. The R600 prepayment goes towards your first treatment,
provided it is scheduled within three months following the
consultation date. If not undertaken within the three months,
the prepayment will be redeemed as the consultation fee.
