Our donor coordination team have met Donor Thorstein in

person several times. Below, you’ll find a description of how
we have experienced him during his visits to our offices.

A long-time sports enthusiast, donor competitors, as such qualities are rare in

Thorstein’s favourite type of exercise is
running. A competitor in trail runs, long
distance and ultra marathons, running is a
form of meditation for him; it brings him
peace and helps him to wind down after a
long day. His role model is the American
ultrarunner Courtney Dauwalter: “Apart
from winning everything out there at the
moment and being one of the greatest trail
runners of all time, what inspires me the
most is that, despite running all these crazy
races, she never stops smiling and is kind
to everyone.” Donor Thorstein likes that she
never loses the fun in what she does and
that she acts as a cheerleader for her
sports. Above all, he respects the fact that
she’s managed to come out on top in a
heavily male-dominated field.

donation allows him to do this in multiple
ways; not only is he helping aspiring
parents to have children of their own, but
he also donates his compensation to
charity. Overall, he comes across to us as
someone who is decent, selfless and
humble.
Friendly and welcoming, donor Thorstein is
very easy to talk to and you get the
impression that he’s good at socialising. His
curiosity and courageousness shine
through in both his interests and travels;

I'm a big runner, both on road and on trails. I

football in different clubs and I still play
occasionally, same as tennis, padel, or any

/ What is your ultimate ambition, goal or dream in life?

I don't know if I can say that I have an ultimate ambition in life. I wish to live in
accordance with my values, have meaningful relationships and be kind to
others and myself. I wish to stay true to myself and have the courage to
choose the path that is right for me and not live by society's expectations of
what a happy life should be.

/ What are your personal values?

Above all, kindness: "When I was young, I admired clever people. Now that I am
old, I admire kind people" - Abraham Joshua Heschel. All else derives from
that in my opinion (empathy, tolerance, etc.)

/ How would you describe your personality?

I would say I am kind and open-minded towards everyone. I am INFP on the
Myers-Briggs scale which means I'm slightly introverted. I enjoy time with
friends but love "me time" as well.

1 - The friendships I have formed all over the world and the fact that there are
people out there that really care about me. 2 - That I had the courage to move
