Supplies Needed For This Pattern

Yarn -I personally love Caron One Pound and

use it for nearly all of my patterns. However, my
patterns are written so that you can use any
weight 4 yarn that you want. You can even
change the yarn and the hook up for different
sizes as well. How This Pattern Pack Is Written

● Brown, Black, Light Pink, Red, Dark Red

● Hook - F 3.75mm hook
● Yarn Needle ● You can change up your hook size if you
● Buttons of choice for eyes - I used 13mm wish to change the size of the applique.
shank buttons from Joanns. Otherwise, it will end up about 9” tall.

Optional: Glue Gun/Glue sticks

● I glue all of my appliques together,

Using light pink, make a magic circle, CH

Ears - make 2 - using brown, CH 11. HDC

in 2nd from hook and across. CH 1, turn.

Row 2- HDC2TG. HDC in next. 8. CH 1,

turn.
Head - using brown, make a magic circle,
CH 2, DC 12. SS to join CH 2, do not turn. Row 3: HDC in first 7. HDC2TG. CH 1,
turn.
Round 2 - 2DC in each stitch around. SS
to join. CH 2, do not turn. Row 4: HDC2TG. HDC in next 6. CH 1,
turn.
Round 3- *2DC in first. DC in next.
Repeat from * all the way around. SS to Row 5: HDC in first 5. HDC2TG. CH 1,
join. CH 2, do not turn, turn.

Round 4- *2HDC in first. HDC in next 2. Row 6: HDC2TG. HDC in next 4. CH 1,

Repeat from * all the way around. SS to turn
join. Tie off.
Row 7: HDC in first 3. HDC2TG. CH 1,
turn.

Nose - using brown, make a magic circle, Row 8: HDC2tg. HDC in next 2. CH 1, turn
CH 2 and DC 12. SS to join. CH 2, do not
turn. 2DC in each stitch around. SS to
Row 9. HDC. HDC2tg. Tie off.

Belly: using brown, make a magic circle,

Using black, make a magic circle. CH 1,
CH 2, DC 12. SS to join CH 2, do not turn.

Round 2 - 2DC in each stitch around. SS
to join. CH 2, do not turn.
Round 3- *2DC in first. DC in next.
Repeat from * all the way around. SS to
join. Tie off.
Body: Using brown, CH 12. DC in 3rd
from hook and across. CH 2, turn.
Row 2: 2DC in first. DC in next 8. 2DC in
last. CH 2, turn.
Leg 1: DC in first 5. CH 2, turn.
Row 2-6: DC across. CH 2, turn. Tie off
on row 6. Skip 2 on body. Reattach yarn
and repeat leg instructions.
Tail - using brown, CH 16. SS in 2nd from
hook. SC in next 3. HDC in next 3. DC in
remaining. Tie off.
Back feet - make 2 - using brown, CH 8.
2DC in 3rd from hook. DC in next. SC in
next. DC in next 2. 5DC in last. Now work
around to bottom of CH. DC in next 2. SC
in next. DC in next. DC in last. SS to join.
Ch 1, do not turn. 2HDC in next 3. SS in
next. 2HDC in next 9. SS in next. 2HDC in
next 2. SS to join. Tie off.
Front paws - make 2 - using brown, CH 3.
In last CH from hook, do 3DC, SS, CH 2,
3DC, SS, CH 2, 3DC, SS. Tie off.
Hearts - make 2 - using red, CH 3. In last
CH from hook, (DC, 2SC, DC, 2SC, DC,
CH 1, SS). Pull tight, Tie off.
Make 6 knots by tying 2 strands together
(about 4”). Tie them together twice to
make a knot. Attach like shown in pic.
Or, you can CH 2 and SS in last CH from
hook if you like instead.
Plaid Scarf - *** This is a bit tricky. Please
note it is a bit messy, and that is ok!!! It
gets a bit cleaned up once you put the
trim on, so don't get discouraged! It was
even tricky for me.
This is just the regular plaid stitch, using
HDC, but because its so small, and
because we are incorporating HDC2TG,
its a bit tricky, so just think about what
you’re doing and you’ll get it :)
Using black, CH 16. HDC in 2nd from
hook and in next. Do a color change HDC
in next to dark red. See pics

Do 2 HDC in dark red, and then do a
color change HDC back to black. Repeat
this sequence to the end of the chain.

The next row, we are going to start off

with an HDC2TG, and we are going to
repeat the same color changing
sequences, but with dark red/red.

Your “triangle” may not be a perfect
triangle shape. Mine certainly is not
haha. But I just did the best that I could
with it :)
Row 3 is a repeat of row 1. Color
changing sequence of Black/Dark red,
but doing the HDC2TG on the ends.
Row 4 is a repeat of row 2, with HDC2TG
on the ends.
Row 5 is a repeat of row 3 with HDC2TG
on the ends.
Row 6 is a final row with black HDC2TG
across, and then HDC evenly around
entire “triangle”. You can create more of
a triangle shape by doing 3 HDC in each
“corner”. That will add more shape to it.
