Caruso Acoustic Panels by Falcon Minimize Disruptive Noise, Provide

Strong Visual Appeal for Multi-Purpose Spaces
Chicago, June 13, 2016 - Falcon, a leading manufacturer of table and seating solutions, is
pleased to announce a new relationship with Caruso Acoustic and Lighting in which Falcon will
be the exclusive U.S. distribution and sales representation for the Italian company. Falcon is
introducing a collection of visually appealing, sound-absorbing panels. Caruso Acoustics will
complement Falcon by addressing disruptive and unhealthy noise problems in today’s open
environments.

“Managing unwanted noise in the workplace and commercial public space is an increasingly
important health, safety, and productivity issue,” said Steve Cohen, corporate vice president of
sales and marketing, CFGroup. “With Caruso Acoustics by Falcon, designers and facility
managers now have new ways to both improve acoustic performance and create visually
exciting space.”

The panels utilize a core sound-absorption material—melamine foam—which is the same

material used in airplanes and trains to insulate sound. The sound-absorbing materials undergo
repeated production checks to guarantee the highest quality and performance and have been
tested in reverberation chambers in accordance with ISO 354. Because of the sound-absorption
strength of each panel, Caruso Acoustic products absorb sound with fewer panels than
competitive products. In addition, the product meets the stringent ASTM-E84 fire code.

Offered in three types—wall-mounted, ceiling-hung, and freestanding—Caruso Acoustic panels

are minimalist products that blend in well with a space’s architecture. Available in 22 colors, a
range of fabrics, and variety of patterns, panels can be completely customized to create a
signature aesthetic. With the custom print solution, any high-resolution image can be converted
into an acoustic panel that becomes beautiful artwork and integrates seamlessly into the design
of a space. The sight-obstruction capabilities and artistic use of sizes, colors, and messages
provide designers with many opportunities to create strong visual interest in a space.

“Caruso Acoustic panels can be specified separately or integrated with our booths and modular
seating to provide a total solution for collaborative, open spaces,” added Cohen. “As part of our
emphasis on customization, we’ve developed a streamlined process for determining the specific
acoustic needs of a space and recommending the best configuration of panels for each project.”

The Falcon team works with clients to gather information about a space—such as floor plan,
dimensions, and materials—and its sound challenges. Caruso Acoustic engineers then use a
computer model to create a customized plan about which panels to use and any changes that
may be required in the space to minimize disruptive noise and create optimal acoustic
conditions.

To further optimize the effectiveness of open, multi-purpose spaces, panels can be fitted with
optional LED lighting to provide the ideal quantity and quality of light.
