Let's Make the City Clean and Fresh
A clean and fresh city will surely make the inhabitants healthy. There are many things that we
and government can do to help the city clean and fresh. Here are some:
In order to protect people from pollution caused by cars, trucks, and motorcycles, enough trees
must be planted along the roads. Trees not only remove harmful chemicals from the soil, but also help
reduce the greenhouses leading to global warming.
Smoking at public area should be stopped at once. Each time people smoke a cigarette,
chemicals are released into the atmosphere, polluting the air. Besides dirtying the environment with
cigarettes' butts, smoking also causes bad lung diseases to other people.
We should stop littering or throwing rubbish anywhere. It can drastically affect the environment
for years to come, as it consists of trash and household toxic substances that are improperly disposed of
on land or in water. We should consider recycling, reusing and disposing of waste properly.
As of the government, it will be wise if the city Mayor decides a certain amount of fine to be
paid by those who break the government regulation on cleanliness matter. For example, a man who
smokes not at a smoking room or throws rubbish at the roads should be fined.
