Time Ranges

General description
The screen is used to define time ranges related to operation of the system; a maximum of 7 time ranges
can be assigned to each day of the week and to public holidays. The following must be specified for each
time range:
l an operating mode: normal or restricted,
l an attendant group (attendant group 1 to 8),
l whether diversion of all internal and external calls for the active attendant group is enabled or
not (defined by a collective speed dialing number or by an internal recipient in the top part of the
screen).
This screen is also used to specify:
l a destination for the diversion of calls from the active attendant group when the system has been
manually switched to restricted mode (speed dial number or internal number),
l a destination (speed dial number or internal number) for the time range mentioned above,
l and a default attendant group.

REMARK: the format of the time range is selected in accordance with the overall configuration of the
MS Windows station (regional parameters).

Fields description
Destination of the attendant diversion following manual switch to restricted mode

This field defines the destination of the diversion of active attendant group calls when the
system is manually switched to restricted mode. This destination is unique irrespective of

If this field is empty, the calls of an active attendant group are diverted to the default
attendant group when the system is manually switched to restricted mode.
This field contains the directory number of the diversion destination. It can be defined via

Destination of attendant diversion for time ranges

This field defines the destination when diverting an active attendant group to a time
range. This diversion must be authorized: YES must be specified in the field Attendant

This destination is common to all time ranges in which diversion of the calls of the
attendant group has been authorized.
This field contains the directory number of the diversion destination. It can be defined via

An index shown in this field is linked to each time range. It is possible to program 7 time

Start - End

These fields indicate the start and end times of the ranges. The end time is automatically

calculated in relation to the start time of the next range.

N/R mode

This field is used to choose the operating mode (normal or restricted) of the PCX over a
time range. Make the selection from the drop-down menu.
The operating mode affects how the system distributes incoming calls and controls users'
Description outgoing calls. It depends on:

l either the time in relation to the time ranges,


l or the activation of an attendant group's N/R mode key.
Normal: operates in normal mode.
Values
Restricted: operates in restricted mode.

Attendant group

This field is used to choose the attendant group that will reply to the calls over a time
range (or active attendant group). The same group can be assigned to several time ranges.

It is possible to define up to 8 attendant groups from the List of attendant groups screen.
Values 1 to 8

Attendant diversion

This field is used to authorize or prohibit diversion of calls of the active attendant group to
a time range. Make the selection from the drop-down menu.
Description
When YES is specified in this field, the destination of the diversion must be indicated in the
Destination of attendant diversion for time ranges field.
Yes: diversion of calls of the active attendant group to the time range authorized.
Values
No: diversion of calls of the active attendant group to the time range prohibited.

Default attendant group

This field is used to indicate a default attendant group, i.e. an attendant group deployed in
place of the active attendant group when:
l there is no attendant available in the active attendant group and diversion is not
Description authorized,
l an attendant of the active attendant group manually places the system in restricted
mode and there is no destination indicated in the Destination if restricted mode
manually activated field.

Attendant group diversion status

This field, as of OmniPCX Office RCE R9.2, indicates if diversion is activated.


Description
NOTE: Attendant group diversion status is not available in offline mode.
Active: diversion is active for one or several groups
Values
Inactive: diversion is inactive for all groups

Buttons description

This button is used to list all the numbers of the internal directory (handset and group
numbers) and the collective speed dial table.
This button is used to access a list of values.
This button is used to copy the configuration of time ranges of one day into other days.
Select the days which must have the same time range configuration as the source day.
This button is used to program public holidays by defining the day (from 1 to 31), the
month (from January to December) and the year (from 2010 to 2014, * for every year).
