List of attendant groups

General description
This screen is used to view the composition of the system's attendant groups (A groups).
From this screen it is possible to:
l Modify the composition of the system's attendant groups
l View the metering counters of an attendant group
l Configure the dynamic routing parameters of an attendant group.
The maximum number of attendant groups in a system is 8 (default group included).
All the attendant groups have the same call number, one single attendant group is active during a time
range defined in the Time Ranges screen.

Fields description
Index

This field indicates the system's attendant group indexes. The attendant group with index 8

is always the default attendant group.
Values 1 to 8

Type

Description This field indicates the type of management of the system's attendant groups.
Restrictions One attendant group always has a parallel type of management.
Values Parallel

Handset No.

This field indicates the composition of the system's attendant groups.


An attendant group can consist of:
Description l Handsets
l General bell
l Dissuasion message

An attendant group is made up of a maximum of 8 elements.


By default:
l The attendant groups with index 1 and 2 include the first handset of the first card
Restrictions
recognized by the system
l The default group with index 8 includes the first handset of the first card
recognized by the system, the general bell, two voice mailbox lines and access for
remote maintenance.

Each handset connected to the system (preferably recent) can be an attendant handset,
and this handset must:
l Be part of an attendant group
l Belong to one of the attendant profiles
Virtual Terminals, Multi-sets cannot be included in the Attendant group.
Internal directory number: for a handset
Values GB: for general bell
MSG: for a dissuasion message

Buttons description

This button is used to delete all members of an attendant group along with the
parameters assigned to them.
This button gives access to the screen Modify attendant group.
It is used to:
l Configure an attendant group
l Modify the composition of an attendant group
This button gives access to the screen Attendant group / Dynamic routing.
It is used to set the parameters for the dynamic routing of an attendant group.
This button gives access to the screen Attendant group metering.
It is used to consult the metering counters of an attendant group.

Modify attendant group

General description
This screen is used to configure attendant groups.

Fields description
The index and type of attendant group being configured are indicated in the Index and Type fields.
Phys. Addr.

This field indicates the physical addresses of the members of the attendant group, i.e. the

physical location of the interface in the cabinet.

A physical address appears in the form XX-YYY-ZZ:


Content l XX corresponds to the number of the cabinet and the location of the interface card
in the cabinet.
l YYY corresponds to the terminal number.

l ZZ corresponds to the "UA" access number .

Directory no.

This field indicates the internal directory numbers of the members of the attendant group.
Description
These numbers must be defined in the Internal dialing plan.

Name

Description This field indicates the names of members of the attendant group.

Buttons description

This button is used to add members to an attendant group. The maximum number of
members of an attendant group is 8.
It gives access to a screen in which it is possible to select members to be added.
Note: a Basic SIP Phone or a Hot Desking User cannot be added to an attendant group.

This button is used to delete members of an attendant group.

These buttons are used to affect a priority level to the lines moving them up or down.

Attendant group / Dynamic routing

General description
This screen is used to define the dynamic (or deferred) routing parameters of an attendant group's
internal and external calls.

Fields description
The attendant group index for which parameters have been set is indicated in the Index field.
Timer 1

If an attendant group has not answered an external or internal call at the end of timer 1,

level 1 dynamic routing is implemented.
Values 0 to 3276 seconds
The timer is only triggered if the field is completed.
Restrictions If timer 1 is zero, level 1 dynamic routing will be applied immediately to all internal and
external calls of the attendant group.

Timer 2

Timer 2 starts after timer 1. If an external or internal call is not answered on completion

of timer 2, level 2 dynamic routing is implemented.
Value 0 to 3276 seconds
The timer is only triggered if the field is completed.
Restrictions
If timer 2 is zero, level 1 and 2 dynamic routing are simultaneous.

VMU as Auto. Attendant (lev. 1)

If the level 1 dynamic routing destination number is the directory number of the group
containing the two accesses to the voice mailbox, the box can be used to select either the
Description requested voice mailbox or the automated attendant as the level 1 destination.
If this box is checked, the automated attendant is called when level 1 dynamic routing is
activated, otherwise it is the voice mailbox of the called party.

VMU as Auto. Attendant (lev. 2)

This box is used to choose between the voice mailbox of the called party and the
automated attendant as the destination of level 2 dynamic routing if the voice mailbox is
Description part of the attendant group called.
If this box is checked, the automated attendant is called when level 2 dynamic routing is
activated, otherwise it is the voice mailbox of the called party.

Maximum number of Dynamic Routing cascading Levels

This option can only be modified for Hunting Groups (greyed out for Attendant Groups)
As of OmniPCX Office RCE R10.1, this box is used to validate the following scenario (which
cannot apply in versions prior to OmniPCX Office RCEe R10.1):
If a hunting group receives a dynamically routed call and if the call is not answered by the
Description receiver, the cascading mechanism enhances call distribution by implementing the
receiver's Dynamic Routing.
Default value: 1
The minimum value is 1, the maximum value is 5.

Use Timer 1

If this box is checked, timer 1 is triggered as soon as an internal or external call is received
at the attendant group. If at the end of the timer the call has not been answered, level 1
dynamic routing is applied.
Description
If the box is not checked but a destination for external and/or internal calls
ATTENTION: is given in the Destination No. field, level 1 dynamic routing is immediately
applied.

Destination No.

This field contains the destination directory number of the attendant group's external
and/or internal calls when level 1 dynamic routing is activated. This destination can be:
l another handset,

l a hunting group,
l a voice mailbox (personal voice mailbox or automated attendant),
Description l a collective directory number.
The directory number can be selected from the list of numbers which can be accessed via
the button to the right of the field.

Use Timer 2

If the box is checked, timer 2 is triggered when timer 1 ends. If an attendant group's
Description external and/or internal call is not answered on completion of timer 2, level 2 dynamic
routing is implemented.

Routing to general level

If this box is checked, the destination of level 2 dynamic routing for the attendant group's
Description
external and/or internal calls is the active attendant group.

General bell to general level

If this box is checked, the destination of level 2 dynamic routing for the attendant group's
external calls is the general bell if it is available in the attendant group.
Description

ATTENTION: This box cannot be accessed for internal calls.

Buttons description

This button is used to access the list of directory numbers which can be selected as a
destination for level 1 dynamic routing.

The button can be used to delete all dynamic routing parameters.

Attendant group metering

General description
This screen is used to:
l read and possibly reset the metering partial counters and costs relating to the selected attendant
group,
l read the information provided by the global metering counters and costs of the selected attendant
group.

No. of taxes

The non-modifiable field is the partial pulse counter of the selected attendant group. This

Global

The non-modifiable field is the global pulse counter of the selected attendant group. This

Cost

The non-modifiable field is the partial cost counter of the selected attendant group. This
counter can be reset.
Description
The cost of taxes is indicated on screen Metering options for current monetary unit
(Metering folder).

Global

The non-modifiable field is the global cost counter of the selected attendant group. This
counter cannot be reset.
Description
The cost of taxes is indicated on screen Metering options for current monetary unit
(Metering folder).

Buttons description

This button is used to reset the partial pulse and cost counters of the selected attendant
group.
