l transmission of the number dialed by user A.
Desired behavior
When a user dials an external number, the system should react in the following way:

Example of use of Automatic Routing Selection

(ARS): networking of two PCXs

General description

The DDI numbers all join PCX 1 and are 0140672400 - 0140672439 i.e. 40 numbers to be shared by the two
PCXs according to the above diagram. PCX 2 is equipped with T0 access for local communications.
The two PCXs are located in different telephone exchanges.

file:///C:/Users/USER/AppData/Local/Temp/~hh4CAE.htm 7/5/2024
Configure Voice on IP (individual_case) Page 11 of 16

The dialing is called homogeneous and closed: the extension numbers correspond to the last three digits of
the DDI number (for the extensions that have one).
The subscribers of PCX 2 make outgoing communications on the T0 access of PCX 1, except for local
communications and when private lines are saturated. When this happens, overflow of all or part of the
outgoing communications from PCX 2 on its own T0 accesses can be expected.
The exchange number of PCX 2 is 0388.
