1.What is Digital Quotient (DQ)?
DQ is - a single, simple metric that tracks the digital maturity of talent. It helps you navigate your capability development through the value chain
of building Competence, creating Impact and generating Value.

2. What does Competence in DQ mean?


Competence is about building breadth and depth in skills. It measures the skills you possess, proficiency in those skills (Skill Proficiency)
digital exposure in adjacent area (Digital exposure through reskilling), and expertise in working on actual projects (Digital expertise through
Tags). The 3 elements measured in Competence are Skill Proficiency, Digital Exposure and Digital Expertise.

3. What does Impact in DQ mean?


Impact is the next leap, where you apply skills to influence clients and teams with the knowledge and experience gained. Specialization,
innovation effectiveness and creating an impact through teams are key measures. It comprises of 3 elements Specialization*,
Solutioning* and Leading resilient teams. Applicable for JL6 only.

4. What does Value in DQ mean? – this metric is yet to be operationalized
Value Is the next leap in the capability development which is about the ability of identifying new opportunities of revenue creation and creating new solutions to
generate value for all stakeholders. Applicable for JL6 only.

5. What does my DQ score comprise of?


It is a sum of your score in Competence, Impact and Value.

6. What does Skill Proficiency score comprise of?


It is a sum of the points gained from your top 3 skills and your expertise in these skills. Top 3 skills are based on your declaration on L&C. To 3 skills are selected based
on current working skill, recency of the skill, experience, skill tag etc. Go to slide 3 on how to increase skill proficiency. The top of your top 3 skills and corresponding
points can vary if any of the mentioned parameters change.

7. How can I update my skills and my skill experience?


Visit Learning & Career on InfyMe>Click on your name on the right panel>>scroll down to scroll down to skills and endorsements>skills

8. How many points can I earn in Skill Proficiency?


Based on the category of skills (core or digital), you can earn points in the Beginner, Competent and Proficient level of skills.

9. What is Skill Proficiency?
Skill Proficiency is the measure of expertise on a specific skill. Measured on 3 point rating scale. Skill Proficiency Levels
There are 3 proficiency levels - Beginner, Competent and Proficient. Proficiency levels can be
increased with a combination of 1. Knowledge, 2. Experience and 3. Expertise

Through a combination of gaining Knowledge, Experience and Expertise you can move the Proficient
next skill proficiency level. While all the above mentioned parameters are not required to be
completed – a single certification or recommendation is unlikely to contribute to level Considered skilled in application of the skills and
increase. A combination across Knowledge, Experience and Expertise is required. also develops others by giving trainings,
publishing papers, mentoring others etc.
Each level of the skill proficiency carries 5 points. However, if the skill is a digital skill, you can
get 10 points at the Competent level.

10. What is Tag Proficiency?

• Tag Proficiency shows the expertise of a Tagged employee in a digital Skill tag.
• Applicable only for Tagged employees
• Measures expertise of an employee using a combination of Knowledge, Experience and Expertise Compass
• Increases as employee gain more “Knowledge”, “Experience” and “Expertise” in Skill tag

Tag Proficiency levels can be increase with a combination of 1. Knowledge, 2. Experience and 3. Expertise
While all the above mentioned parameters (mentioned in bullet points) are not required to be completed to increase proficiency - a
single certification or recommendation is unlikely to contribute to level increase. A combination across Knowledge, Experience and
Expertise is required.

11. How many points will I get for Digital Exposure through reskilling?
For completing certifications of a skill tag area you will gain minimum of 10 points up to 3 skill tag areas. You will need to complete all the
mandatory certifications that are aligned to a learning path of a skill tag area to gain 10 points. Please refer to Learning&Career to check the
certification requirements. Complete a learning path of a skill tag to earn min 10 points.

12. How many points will I get for a skill tag? How can I get points under Digital Expertise?
You will get min 10 points if you get a skill tag under the Digital Expertise section. To get a skill tag you will need complete the skill tag learning
path and work in a project aligned to that skill tag for 3 months to earn the skill tag. Once you earn the skill tag you get min 10 points in Digital
Expertise.

13. How many points will I get for increasing my tag proficiency?

14. How do I earn points in Specialization?


You can earn 70 points for a Digital specialist role –where 40 points are given for bagging the role and 30 points for completing any 2 capability
milestones. However, for a specialist role, there are other criteria that need to be met to qualify for the role. Only upon qualifying for the role,
will be points become applicable.

15. How many points will I get for client solutioning?


You can get DQ points by submitting DM approved BTN ideas, submitting assets in service store and code store - Cobalt assets.

1. BTN Ideas - You get 20 for digital BTN idea and 10 for non-digital BTN idea. The maximum number of BTN ideas considered for DQ is 3 and
maximum points awarded are 60. Please note that the BTN ideas need to be approved by DM for it to be eligible for DQ points.

2. Service Store Assets - You also get points for submissions to the service store. Points depend on stage of the Service Store element:
Services - Labs -15 points, Incubate - 25 points, Graduate - 50 points

3. Code Store - Cobalt assets - DQ points are awarded for creation of industry class assets in Code Store - Cobalt. As part of this process, all
the roles in the code store are eligible for DQ points. Refer to the next slide for framework. (Currently DQ framework is applicable for
Code Components and Tools, asset types. Knowledge asset type is not considered under this framework.) Please go to the next slide to
view the framework for DQ points for Cobalt Assets. 7

16. What does leading resilient teams mean? I don’t have a team currently.
Leading Resilient Teams is the measure of your ability to build a digitally ready and highly engaged team. You can gain DQ points by creating a
team with high DQ and consistently having a Pulse satisfaction score of >75%. In case you do not lead a team, you can look to increase your
DQ in other areas. You can also get 10 DQ points under leading resilient teams for completing the Infosys Great Manager Program

17. How many points can I get for leading resilient teams?
You can get 10 points by building a highly engaged team i.e avg >75% satisfaction score on Pulse (4 quarter rolling average -
score*participation) and 20 points if your team’s DQ is 25% higher than the organization average. You can also get 10 DQ points under leading
resilient teams for completing the Infosys Great Manager Program

18. How do I know what I should do to increase my Digital Quotient?


Learning and Career on Infyme app provides personalized suggestions on how to increase your Digital Quotient guiding you in your journey
ahead. Look to suggestions under the section – What more can I do?

19. I am already working in the unit aligned to NSO (New service offerings), but still not skill tagged. When will I get the skill tag?
For bagging a Skill tag there are two main steps -1) Completing all the mandatory courses aligned to the skill tag learning path and 2) 3
months of NSO/DSO experience. You will be eligible to get the skill tag only if you satisfy both the conditions.

20. Is there any limit to the number of reskilling areas/Skill tags that one can take up?
There is no limit to the number of areas one can learn but an individual will get points in DQ only for 3 areas/reskilling. The areas where an
individual is scoring highest points will be considered

21. How frequently will my DQ be updated?


Skill Proficiency and Tag Proficiency will be refreshed daily. Digital Exposure scores will be refreshed every 2 weeks and Tag scores will be
refreshed once every month.

22. By how many points will my DQ increase if I just complete one reskilling certification from the Skill tag learning path?
All the mandatory certifications in the learning path for a skill tag area will have to be completed, only then DQ would increase by +10 points.

23. I have few endorsements on one of my Top 3 skills, but there is no increase in my DQ.
DQ will increase only if there is an increase in Proficiency level i.e. when someone moves from Beginner to Competent level or from Competent
to Proficient. A combination of knowledge, experience and expertise of a skill is required to increase proficiency level. Manager endorsements,
advanced certifications, accelerate projects, publications can help in adding to knowledge, experience and expertise – which in turn can help in
increasing skill proficiency.

24. I completed a skill certification recently but there is no increase in my DQ.


Check if the certification is aligned to your top 3 skills. DQ will increase only if there is an increase in Proficiency level i.e. when someone moves
from Beginner to Competent level or from Competent to Proficient

25. How can I score points in Value?


Contributions to Service Store in the form of “Platforms” will earn you DQ points. Points depend on stage of the Service Store element
Labs – 25 points, Incubate – 50 points, Graduate – 100 points

26. Why has my DQ decreased?


DQ can decrease under the following circumstances. A. change in top 3 skills – resulting in change of skill proficiency points, B. Expiry of
certification without a skill tag. C. Change in average DQ of team D. Change in rolling average of engagement score.

27. I have completed many certifications, why doesn’t my DQ increase


If you complete learning of a skill tag area – it can result in 10 DQ points. Ensure the learning path is completed – in some cases the learning path
has multiple certifications. For certifications not related to the DQ framework – there will no increase to DQ.

28.I have done many trainings on LEX – but my Digital Exposure (reskilling) still says 0 points. 11

29. Is the Digital Specialist career stream different from Tech Arch and Consulting?
Yes, it is a new career stream

30. I have received the email for a skill tag, but my points are not updated.
Please allow for 2-3 weeks for the points to be reflected in the system.

31. I have an external certification for my skills. Can that be considered for DQ points?
Yes. External certifications in the reskilling certifications of skill tag areas are considered for DQ points. You can upload your certifications for
validation on LEX.

32. I am unable to upload my certification on LEX


• Search for that certification in Lex using the search option provided
• Upload result - Upload your certification here
• The uploaded certificate will be verified by some set of verifiers
• Post verification, the certification will be added to the system

33. My Project experience is not updated on the system. How can I correct that?
Please raise an AHD with the IS team

34. How do I know what I should do to increase my Digital Quotient?

35. I have a lot of experience, but my DQ score is low.
Please check the following
A. Are your skills updated on compass or learning & career? Please update (Refer to guide – how to update my skill profile)
B. Is your Experience updated? Please update them on Learning & Career (Refer to guide – how to update my skill profile)
C. Have you updated and uploaded your external certifications of your skills and skill tags?
D. Do you have external publications/white papers for your skills and skill tags? You can upload them on Learning&Career

36. I have completed recommended certifications for a skill tag area on Lex to increase my Digital Quotient score, but my score hasn’t
increased yet.
Each skill area reskilling certification has multiple learning paths etc. please check if you have completed all the mandatory courses required
for the certification. You can check this on Compass – against the skill tag names. The certification data refreshes about once in two weeks –
you should see in increase after that.

37. The Learning &Career link is not working.
