RESOLUTION RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNOR OF

MISAMIS ORIENTAL HON. GOV. PETER “SENIOR PEDRO” M. UNABIA
THROUGH THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR OF MANTICAO HON. MAYOR STEPHEN S.
TAN TO PROVIDE US FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STEEL BRIDGE
LINKING PUROK 1 AND PUROK 5 IN PANIANGAN, MANTICAO, MISAMIS
ORIENTAL

WHEREAS, Barangay Paniangan is composed of residents who are below the poverty line in
the society and who are also active farmers, composing 80% of the society, who wish for aid
from any available government agencies for the better farming experience and accelerating their
economic progress;

WHEREAS, the residents, particularly those living at remote areas across the river requested the
Barangay Council of Paniangan for the Construction of bridge that will link Purok 1 and Purok 5
in order to accelerate their economic progress and to maintain the agricultural standing of the
barangay;

WHEREAS, Barangay Paniangan is a small barangay with NTA allocation of not more than 3.1
million and such request by the farmers and the residents could not be met to finance by the
barangay alone and is therefore has to outsource the necessary funding for the requested project;

WHEREAS, considering the event on October 28, 2022 during the Consultative Leadership of
Hon. Gov. Peter “Senior Pedro” M. Unabia, Hon. Cong. Yevgeny Vincente “Bambi” B. Emano,
with Vice Gov. Jigjag Pelaez and Hon. Mayor Stephen S. Tan, all the 13 Barangays as
represented by its Barangay Council Members were given a chance to express their problems and
requests for the development of their respective barangays;

WHEREAS, during that event, Hon. Gov. Peter “Senior Pedro” M. Unabia and Hon. Cong.
Yevgeny Vincente “Bambi” B. Emano pledged before the Barangay Council Members of

Paniangan the utilization of available funds in excess of the Steel Bridge Project in Sta. Ana,
Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental to finance the proposed Construction of Steel Bridge in Barangay
Paniangan;

WHEREAS, Barangay Paniangan and its constituents believe in the public service and
assistance of Hon. Gov. Peter “Senior Pedro” M. Unabia with the coordination and assistance of
the Municipal Mayor of Manticao Hon. Mayor Stephen S. Tan;

NOW THEREFORE, premises considered and upon motion of Hon. Kag. Carmelito D.
Buzarang which was duly seconded by Hon. Kag. Robin D. Yapac, it was:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, TO RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THE

PROVINCIAL GOVERNOR OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL HON. GOV. PETER “SENIOR
PEDRO” M. UNABIA THROUGH THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR OF MANTICAO HON.
MAYOR STEPHEN S. TAN TO PROVIDE US FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
STEEL BRIDGE LINKING PUROK 1 AND PUROK 5 IN PANIANGAN, MANTICAO,
MISAMIS ORIENTAL;

RESOLVED FURTHER, to furnish copy of this resolution to the Office of the Municipal
Mayor of Manticao and Office of the Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental, and other
offices concerned for their favorable actions;

UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED 7 February 2023.
