Responsibilities:
HEC
⮚ Greenfield set up (initialization of VM, creating system, installation of product) for
instance, System provisioning of ABAP/JAVA/ERP and S/4 HANA on-premises along
with post installation activities.

⮚ Quality checks for ABAP and JAVA systems which includes application and database
checks which are run by the predefined process definition ID of automation from
SPC.
⮚ HANA and Sybase update that involves monitoring of the SPC script version and then
the snapshot restore on the cluster.
⮚ System decommissioning activities such as removal system specific connections such
as RFC to HEC, SID from LVM, Volume unmounts, Volume delete, Deletion of DNS
alias and network segment and etc.
⮚ Tests on CLOUDLM Installation (manual via SAINT) which carries out the upload of
the latest sar file and then update manually via SPAM/SAINT. The Addon installation
contains Initial Setup, Greenfield Security Setup, Check Operational Settings, Check
Quality, Check Security Settings, Client Copy, Client Deletion.

S4HANA:

⮚ Database standalone update to test the SP and PL level before releasing to the
marketplace on cluster that are hosted on S/4HANA/ACS/GCP.
⮚ S/4HANA/ ACS/GCP cloud version upgrade, HFC and EP updates via SPC tool to
monitor the task SUM and SOI tool activities.
⮚ Tenant move between two clusters in order to validate the task structure and ensure
smooth move by performing smoke test.
⮚ Monitoring the auto tests for HFC/EP updates using SOI/SPAM and reporting issues
via BCP/SPC tickets to respective components to reduce human interruptions.
⮚ Preparation activities namely, checking of the plugins, delivery units, space on the
cluster, SUM folder clean up, DB and SPC version and so on.
⮚ Housekeeping activities post the updates and upgrades that includes steps like
setting the HFC freeze, taking backup of system, capturing the snapshot post the
tests.
