Department of Geography, School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Adamas University and
Adamas World School

Eligibility:

Students from Classes 11 and 12 (Humanities, Science and Commerce)

Rules & Regulation:

1. The quiz will be on diverse field of humanities, science and commerce focussing on the
major theme of “Sustainable Futures: Understanding Earth, Environment, and Society”
and allied themes.
2. The contest will be conducted online, using platforms like Zoom (https://zoom.us/) and
Mentimeter (https://www.menti.com)
3. Participation using desktop/ laptop along with Mobile is preferable, participation is
possible using an only mobile phone, but not encouraged.
4. There will be no negative marking.
5. Each round will have 5 questions.
6. Time allotted to answer each question will vary from 20 sec. to 60 sec
7. Answer fast correctly to get more points.
8. After each round first 10 positions will be declared on the screen. The final result will be
announced after 15 min of completion of the quiz.
9. Certificate of participation will be provided to all and the First, Second, and Third
prizes will be sent to the participant’s home address
10. Organizer will not be responsible for any issues related to interrupted internet connection
during the quiz. Participants should take utmost care to have a stable and uninterrupted
internet connection.

THE PROCEDURE OF USING ZOOM & MENTIMETER

Please follow the steps to complete the quiz using Mentimeter.

1. Join the zoom link to reach us:

Organisers will share Zoom Link to connect to all participants after successful registration using
Registration Link provided only. No other mode of registration is accepted.

Please follow the steps to complete the quiz using Mentimeter.

1. Organizer will inform you to join Mentimeter (https://www.menti.com) for the quiz.
Preferably Use another tab in the browser/ or your mobile for this purpose.

3. Please see the screen shared by the organizer to get the code displayed at that time
You will see organizer’s screen below:

4. Enter the code in the box, and finally submit it.

If you submit the entered code correctly for that round of quiz, you will reach:
4. Carefully enter your FULL NAME correctly, because it will be your identity in this
competition.

Still organizer will wait for all players to join. Organizer’s screen will look like:

5. After confirming that, all participants have joined, organizer will start countdown for
quiz and Question 1 of 5 will appear on screen. Time allotted for this question will be
displayed at this point. You should see carefully the question and time allotted.
6. Look at your menti.com screen you will see 3 or 4 options. Click on correct option.
The fastest correct option has been chosen, so mobile screen looks like:
You can see your position at organizer’s screen as Leaderboard after each question (first 10
will be shown here)

7. Your Mentimeter screen (menti.com) will automatically be ready for 2nd question of
that same round.
8. These steps will be continued for other questions of the round and the final score of the
round will be shown.
9. For the next round, a new code will be provided by the organizer. Please do enter the new
code and enjoy the rest of the quiz.
10. There will be no elimination round and all the players will be given opportunity to
play on all 3 rounds.
