A RESOLUTION FOR THE CREATION OF THE ORGANIC AGRICULTURE AND

PRODUCTION (NC II) PROGRAM OF THE ROYAL COCOA FARM TRAINING AND
ASSESSMENT INC. UNDER THE TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY (TESDA)

WHEREAS Republic Act. No. 10068: Also known as the Organic Agriculture Act of 2010, mandates the
promotion, propagation, development, and implementation of organic agriculture-friendly practices.

WHEREAS organic agriculture aligns with the national objectives of achieving sustainable agriculture,
ensuring food security, and promoting environmentally friendly practices.

WHEREAS there is a rising demand for organic products both locally and internationally, necessitating
the development of a skilled workforce capable of meeting this demand.

WHEREAS the creation of Organic Agriculture and Production NC II, by the ROYAL COCOA FARM
TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT INC. with providing relevant, accessible, high-quality, and efficient
technical education and skills development programs.

WHEREAS the Board of Directors the ROYAL COCOA FARM TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT
INC. recognizes the need to develop a specialized training program that will enhance the skills and
knowledge of individuals in organic agriculture and production.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, THAT

1. Creation of the Organic Agriculture and Production NC II Program:

o A new curriculum for Organic Agriculture and Production NC II shall be developed and
implemented.
o The program shall include competencies in organic crop production, organic livestock
production, organic soil management, and post-harvest handling and processing.
2. Curriculum Development:
o TESDA shall constitute a committee of experts in organic agriculture, educators, and
industry stakeholders to develop the curriculum.
o The curriculum shall be aligned with both national standards and international best
practices.
3. Training and Assessment:
o Training centers accredited by TESDA shall be equipped and authorized to offer the
Organic Agriculture and Production NC II program.
o A standardized assessment and certification process shall be established to ensure the
competency of graduates.
4. Funding and Resources:
 oTESDA shall allocate appropriate funding for the development and implementation of
this program.
o Additional resources may be sourced from government and private sector partners who
support organic agriculture initiatives.
5. Awareness and Advocacy:
o An information campaign shall be conducted to promote the Organic Agriculture and
Production NC II program to potential students and stakeholders.
o Partnerships with local government units, non-governmental organizations, and the
private sector shall be encouraged to support the program.
6. Monitoring and Evaluation:
o A system for continuous monitoring and evaluation of the program shall be established to
ensure its effectiveness and relevance.
o Feedback from graduates, employers, and industry experts shall be incorporated into
regular updates of the curriculum and training methods.

RESOLVED FURTHER, THAT

This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
