Moot Court Presentation: Civil Case 14th, 15th June 2024 (Fri, Sat)
Moot Court Presentation: Criminal 5th, 6th July 2024 (Fri, Sat)
Moot Court Presentation: Miscellaneous 26th, 27th July 2024 (Fri, Sat)
1. Diary Submission 2nd, 3rd August 2024

Internal Marks Criteria


1. Presentation (Moot court presentation and spiral binding of the documents used during the
presentation) – 30 marks.
2. Observation writing (Record book*) – 30 marks.
3. Client interview and exercises (Record book*) – 30 marks.
4. Viva – 10 marks.
*Record book can be bought from Library for 250rs
Presentation
1. Presentation should be in advocate formals.
a. Women: White Saree-Black Blouse or White salwar-kurta or white-shirt-black-trousers
along with black coat and black shoes. (Contact Vinutha Mam to clarify)
b. Men: White shirt, black trousers and black-tie(optional) along with black coat and black
shoes (Contact Vinutha Mam to clarify)
2. 3 students should make a team (Lecturer won’t make the team, students should form the team
themselves)
3. Students should inform Vinutha mam about their team structure at least 2days before Moot court
presentation.
4. 3 presentations (team should take up a case by themselves and should prepare. Faculty won’t be
giving the case)
a. 1 Civil
b. 1 Criminal
c. 1 Miscellaneous
5. In each presentation, students should take up these roles and in each presentation the role must be
changing in such a way that the same student will get chance to plead from petitioner side,
defendant side and as a researcher in different presentation.
a. Plaintiff advocate
b. Defendant advocate
c. Researcher
6. Irrespective of the role of the student, all three students must write and produce the write-ups and
documents FOR and AGAINST the case.
7. All the documents should be in handwriting and NOT typed. (Annexure copies that are
submitted can be of any nature)

Spiral Bind (Attached is the snapshot of a few pages only in the spiral bind just for reference)
1. This should contain all the documents you used in the moot court presentation.
2. The contents needed for the spiral bind etc, you can refer to the attached pdf (you can see table of
contents or index also in the same)
3. There should be a color-coding reference before every argument section (refer to the example –
both pdf and video reference attached)
a. Before the petitioner docs – Blue colour sheet
b. Before the defendant docs – Red colour sheet
Record book (A sample of the record book is sent along with this pdf)
1. Observations and client interview exercises should be added in the record book.
2. Start writing from part 2 in record book. Part 1 is moot court presentations, and it will be included
in the spiral bind. So, no need to write the part1.
3. Observations should be based on the following which you did as part of the internship period
(3cases)
a. 1 Civil Case
b. 1 Criminal Case
c. 1 Miscellaneous case
4. Client interviews should be containing the details of the client interviews you did as part of the
internship. The documentation should be having the following details not limited to:
a. Interaction with the advocate and client (It can be multiple clients as well)
b. Interviews and procedures you experienced as part of the internship period or the similar
exercises which you taken part of such as – procedures, legal aids, Lok Adalat etc.
5. CERTIFICATE OF INTERNSHIP
a. Certificate of internship should be affixed in the diary.
b. For 3Y LLB course, it’s a 12week internship period.
c. If you have done more than one internship at multiple places, affix all those certificates in
the diary.
