EKATERINE BUACHIDZE, mezzosoprano

Ekaterine Buachidze, 21 y.o., born in Tbilisi (Georgia),


began her career as a singer from a very young age
becoming a member of the folkloristic choir of children
called “Little Georgica”, with which she won the “Grand
Prix of Nations” in Berlin (2017).

In 2020 she joined the State Conservatoire “Vano


Sarajishvili” in Tbilisi, where she took singing classes.

During her studies she performed in several concerts organized by the Conservatoire singing
famous Rossini’s opera arias including La Cenerentola and Il Barbiere di Siviglia.

Recently she was awarded the second prize (aria division) in the “Black Sea International
Competition- Opera’s Golden Voice” of Batumi (Georgia).

In January 2023 she joined “Fabbrica” Young Artist Program of Teatro dell‘Opera di Roma, where
she made her debut as Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, directed by Alex Ollé and conducted
by the M° Roberto Abbado. In July and August she performed as Flora in La Traviata conducted by
M° Paolo Arrivabeni , directed by Lorenzo Mariani. At the same time she also took part in
Ricostruzione 1.0, an original production by “Fabbrica” YAP for Teatro dell’Opera di Roma’s
Caracalla Festival.

In September 2023 she joined the Japan Tour with Teatro dell‘Opera di Roma at Bunka Kaikan
Theatre in Tokyo, as Flora in La Traviata, G. Verdi, conducted by M° Michele Mariotti, directed by
Sofia Coppola (Orchestra, Chorus and Ballet of Teatro dell’Opera di Roma).

In March of 2024 at Teatro dell’opera di Roma she performed as La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi
conducted by Maestro Michele Mariotti, directed by Ersan Mondtag.

Recently she became the winner of the first prize and received 3 special
prizes on a prestigious competition “Tebaldi-Gigli-Corelli” in the city of pesaro.
