COURSE DESCRIPTION:

General Objectives
Students should learn to describe, interpret, judge and apply their knowledge. Personal development of student is done in a range of spiritual,
moral, social and cultural contexts. It involves for students an awareness of appropriate behavior, an understanding of the environments in
which they work and live and a development of individual identity. In practice these two tasks are inseparable within the school. This
awareness and the experience acquired as a result of shared Cronasian life should lead to the development in students of behavior showing
clear respect for the traditions of each individual, while at the same time preserving their own identities.

Subject specific Objectives

Physical Education as an integral part of the total development of the individual is a main aspect of entire education. Its pedagogical
significant effect is more than just the development of physical and skills.

Physical Education always includes social relations, emotions and cognition. In this way Physical Education should positively influence
lifestyle and encourage cultural interaction.

Physical Education should introduce access points to sport and culture in the community.

The central theme of Physical Education is to promote the potential for development through exercise, games, performance and health within
a safe and structured environment. They are to be offered as experiences through the contents of sports disciplines.

Aims of the syllabus

 develop a positive attitude towards sporting activities in order to encourage life-long participation
 develop appropriate skills in continuation with Physical Education
 develop a personal level of physical fitness and enough knowledge to allow the pupil to pursue a healthy and active
lifestyle
 promote self-reliance, personal initiative and self-confidence
 foster an appreciation of the value of sportsmanship and responsibility
 develop an appreciation of one's own and others' capabilities, potential and limits

Within this structure the aim is to provide positive attitudes and practice towards physical activities and sport. This goal should be realized
through basic skills, social competences, playing competences, competitive competences, health and physical fitness competences, by
building on the foundations laid in Primary PE.

Exam

There will be prelim, midterm, semi-final and final examination in this course. Exams will be worth 40% towards your final course grade.
The exam will occur on the date as scheduled by the school administration.

The selection of appropriate assessment methods is influenced by the learning outcomes, discipline standards, context of the course, nature
of the learners, available resources and the delivery mode.

In this course, expect a performance-based assessment, task-based and modular assessment which will be conducted through online
platform.

Assignments

Students are expected to review and prepare each activity (relevant to the topic discussed) that will be assigned through google classroom.
Each assignment should be submitted through online platform in google classroom in electronic format on the appropriate due date which
will be indicated in the given case text or content. These assignments will be worth 25% towards your final course grade.

Academic Honesty

Cronasia Foundation College, Inc., expects students to understand and maintain high standards of academic honesty. Examples of academic
misconduct include, but are not limited to, the following: plagiarism and cheating. All work submitted to meet the course requirements is
expected to be the student’s own work/ group’s work. In the preparation of work submitted to meet course requirements, students are
expected to distinguish their own ideas and language from information derived from other sources.

You are responsible for understanding School policies on academic integrity and how to use sources responsibly. Not knowing the rules is
not an acceptable excuse. There are no excuses for failure to uphold academic integrity.

Attendance

In this course, your attendance will be track through Google Classroom Attendance activity. In every topic, each one of you will be required
to mark your attendance every session.

Roles of Students under Online Learning System


1. Attends college, department and course orientation on the implementation of the institution.
2. Attends class regularly and participates in all the academic tasks required by the course.
3. Pays attention to the schedules and deadlines of the academic tasks required by the instructor.
4. Obtains all the needed course materials (e.g. modules, reading materials, videos).
5. Accesses various library resources if needed to enhance learning.
6. Takes responsibility in keeping the security of username and password of institutional e-mail account.
7. Utilizes available communication options to engage in the learning process and complete academic tasks.

Topics to be discussed each session in based on the sequence of the following framework:
1. Yoga
2. Tennis
3. Table Tennis
4. Basketball

Expectations from students:

The student’s responsibility is to come to each class prepared. She is also expected to take all examinations on the date scheduled. She is
expected to attend each class and participate actively in the discussions.

ACADEMIC DISHONESTY:
All students are expected to be academically honest. Cheating, lying and other forms of immoral and unethical behavior will not be tolerated.
Any student found guilty of cheating in examinations or plagiarism in submitted course requirements will (at a minimum) receive an F or
failure in the course requirement or in the course. Plagiarism and cheating refer to the use of unauthorized books, notes or otherwise securing
help in a test; copying tests, assignments, reports or term papers; representing the work of another person as one’s own; collaborating
without authority, with another student during an examination or in preparing academic work; signing another student’s name on an
attendance sheet; or otherwise practicing scholastic dishonesty.

POLICY on ABSENCES:
The allowed number of absences for students enrolled in a 3-hour class held once a week is a maximum of 3 absences - based on student
handbook. Request for excused absences or waiver of absences must be presented upon reporting back to class. Special examinations will be
allowed only in special cases, such as prolonged illness. It is the responsibility of the student to monitor her own tardy incidents and
absences that might be accumulated leading to a grade of “FA.” It is also her responsibility to consult with the teacher, chair or dean should
her case be of special nature.

COURSE RULES
● Using cellular phones must be turned OFF during class hour. This includes instant messages and auditory warnings.

● Performing tasks which is not related to the lesson is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

● Always follow the acronym “CLAYGO” Clean as You Go

REQUIREMENTS
● Pass all the requirements.

● No 75 and below grades for Prelim, Midterm, Semi- Final & Finals

● Never be absent.
