The Birth of Jesus (Luke 2:2-5)

2 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken
of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was
governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register.
4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to
Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of
David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and
was expecting a child.

Noah’s Ark (Genesis 6:15-18)

15 Make it 133 metres long, 22 metres wide, and thirteen metres high. 16 Make a
roof for the boat and leave a space of 44 centimetres between the roof and the sides.
Build it with three decks and put a door in the side. 17I am going to send a flood on the
earth to destroy every living being. Everything on the earth will die, 18but I will make a
covenant with you. Go into the boat with your wife, your sons, and their wives.

The Good Samaritan (Luke 10: 25-27)

25 A teacher of the Law came up and tried to trap Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked,
“what must I do to receive eternal life?”
26Jesus answered him, “What do the Scriptures say? How do you interpret them?”
27 The man answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your strength, and with all your mind’; and ‘Love your neighbour as you love
yourself.’”

David and Goliath (1 Samuel 17: 51-54)

When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they ran away. 52 The men of
Israel and Judah shouted and ran after them, pursuing them all the way to Gath and to
the gates of Ekron. The Philistines fell wounded all along the road that leads to
Shaaraim, as far as Gath and Ekron. 53 When the Israelites came back from pursuing
the Philistines, they looted their camp. 54 David picked up Goliath's head and took it to
Jerusalem, but he kept Goliath's weapons in his own tent.
Jesus feeds the five thousand ( Mathew 14:39-42)

39Jesus then told his disciples to make all the people divide into groups and sit
down on the green grass. 40So the people sat down in rows, in groups of a hundred
and groups of fifty. 41Then Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish, looked up to
heaven, and gave thanks to God. He broke the loaves and gave them to his disciples to
distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all. 42Everyone ate
and had enough.

Jesus turns water into wine (John 2: 6-10)

6The Jews have rules about ritual washing, and for this purpose six stone water
jars were there, each one large enough to hold about a hundred litres. 7Jesus said to
the servants, “Fill these jars with water.” They filled them to the brim, 8and then he told
them, “Now draw some water out and take it to the man in charge of the feast.” They
took him the water, 9which now had turned into wine, and he tasted it. He did not know
where this wine had come from (but, of course, the servants who had drawn out the
water knew); so he called the bridegroom 10and said to him, “Everyone else serves the
best wine first, and after the guests have had plenty to drink, he serves the ordinary
wine. But you have kept the best wine until now!”

Samson and Delilah (Judges 16: 7-9)

So Delilah said to Samson, "Tell me the secret of your great strength and how
you can be tied up and subdued."
7Samson answered her, "If anyone ties me with seven fresh thongs that have not been
dried, I'll become as weak as any other man."
8Then the rulers of the Philistines brought her seven fresh thongs that had not been
dried, and she tied him with them.
9With men hidden in the room, she called to him, "Samson, the Philistines are upon
you!" But he snapped the thongs as easily as a piece of string snaps when it comes
close to a flame. So the secret of his strength was not discovered.

Jonah and the Whale (Jonah 1:13-17)

"Pick me up and throw me into the sea," he replied, "and it will become calm. I
know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you."
13Instead, the men did their best to row back to land. But they could not, for the sea
grew even wilder than before.
14Then they cried to the LORD, "O LORD, please do not let us die for taking this man's
life. Do not hold us accountable for killing an innocent man, for you, O LORD, have
done as you pleased."
15Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm.
16At this the men greatly feared the LORD, and they offered a sacrifice to the LORD
and made vows to him.
17But the LORD provided a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was inside the fish
three days and three nights.

Daniel in the Lion’s Den (Daniel 6: 15-16)

15 Then the men went as a group to King Darius and said to him, “Remember,
Your Majesty, that according to the law of the Medes and Persians no decree or edict
that the king issues can be changed.”
16 So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions’
den. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!

Jesus walks on water (Matthew 14: 27-29)

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said.
