8. Fill Water Tank

Only use potable (drinkable, clean, filtered) water in the 3D SCANNER. Do not use demineralized
or deionized water. If you have a 3D Reservoir, follow the instructions in the 3D Reservoir User’s
Guide to fill the Water Tank. Otherwise, fill the Water Tank to the desired level.

14. Select Hardware Configuration
a. Set delivery system, AutoSetup SSD, field detector, and reference
detector (if applicable).
Use Effective Point of Measurement: shifts field detector position prior
to measurement. Shift is based on detector properties (diameter or
offset). See Environment > Detectors. Leave unchecked for AutoSetup.
Use Offset Detector Holder: for profile measurements >50 cm in length.
Leave unchecked for AutoSetup.
Use High Current Mode: for high dose rate delivery with high sensitivity diode detector(s). Select if applicable; otherwise
leave unchecked.
b. Bias voltage applies to both electrometer inputs. Set the lower of the bias voltages recommended by the manufacturer
when using two different ionization chambers or when using an ionization chamber and a diode detector such as the Sun
Nuclear EDGE detector, which is not damaged by bias voltage.
15. AutoSetup *
AutoSetup instructions and behaviors are specific to selected delivery system
and AutoSetup type (circular vs. rectangular collimation, TPR vs. standard).
Select AutoSetup type, click Start, and then follow on-screen instructions.
Green check marks indicate completed steps. ‘Details’ column shows results.
Note: If ‘Require Collimator Rotation’ system preference enabled, AutoSetup
requests 180° collimator rotation. For Varian delivery systems, rotate collimator
between 90° - 270° to take advantage of 180° rotation. For small field setups or
delivery systems where the collimator cannot be rotated, set Rotate
Collimator = No in AutoSetup panel.
*For instructions to perform manual setup, TPR AutoSetup, or post setup verification, see
the SNC Dosimetry Software Reference Guide or SNC Dosimetry Help Index.

16. Add Scans to Queue

Creating Scans Using New > Scan Feature
a. Select Queue tab. In Scan Groups panel, right-click a scan group and then select New
