 INTRO

This implementation guide will help you launch your free eBook on Amazon with the whole

purpose of driving high-quality, pre-framed traffic to your sales funnel and closing sales.

STEP 1 – WRITE YOUR EBOOK

A 50-page eBook will do the job.

Use Microsoft Word or Google Docs and then save the file as a .docx.

Always think if you can re-purpose content before you create new content. For example, you

may want to combine your best performing blog posts and write your eBook around them and

of course, use them as the main chapters in your eBook.

STEP 2 – EDIT YOUR EBOOK

Besides proofreading you need to edit your eBook so it appears well on Kindle.

Ask your best friend preferably a native English speaker to proofread your eBook.

 STEP 3 – UPLOAD YOUR EBOOK

Now you will have to upload your eBook on Amazon, Kobo, iTunes and Nook.

The reason for that is because you cannot upload a free eBook on Amazon but you can use

their “match the price” policy.

If your eBook is free on iTunes, Nook and Kobo, and you tell Amazon they will match the

price. This is how you make your eBook free permanently.

STEP 3.1 – CREATE AN ACCOUNT

You would need to create two accounts:

1. https://kdp.amazon.com

2. https://www.draft2digital.com/ helps you distribute your eBook to digital stores such as

iTunes, Kodo, Nook, etc.

Create them right now.

STEP 3.2 – WRITE DESCRIPTION

You will have to write a description for your eBook. Remember this is nothing more than a

sales copy. Watch Copywriting Masterclass and apply a copywriting framework. AIDA will

work but you are restricted to 4000 characters.

On Kindle, you will have to provide an HTML description.

It’s very simple, you write your description and then you generate code that you insert during

the setup process on KDP Amazon.

 STEP 3.3 – COVER IMAGE

I’ve got a designer in my team and he does all design work for me but if I didn’t have one, I’d

go to Fiverr.com and get a nice cover image for as low as $5.

 STEP 3.4 – UPLOAD YOUR EBOOK ON AMAZON

Now you have to upload your eBook.

There are three steps:

1. Kindle eBook Details

2. Kindle eBook Content

3. Kindle eBook Pricing

IMPORTANT: DO NOT ENROLL IN THE KDP SELECT PROGRAM

If you enroll, you won’t be able to make your eBook permanently free. I did that mistake once

.
IMPORTANT POINTS:

Book Title should be rich of keywords.

Write a subtitle as well, this is a place where you can put even more keywords.

Description, insert the code you generated.

Publishing Rights: I own the copyright and I hold the necessary publishing rights.
Keywords: Use ALL of the 7 keywords available and relevant to your market.

Categories: Choose 2 sub-categories from DIFFERENT categories. This is important because

it gives you wider reach.

Once ready, hit Save and Continue to go the step 2 – Kindle eBook Content.

This is where you upload your Microsoft Word document and your eBook cover.
Make sure you use Launch previewer to see how your eBook will appear.

Don’t worry about Kindle eBook ISBN. Leave it blank.

Click Save and Continue to go to the next step – Kindle eBook Pricing.
Choose all territories. Then 70% royalty plan and price at $2.99.

Then you hit publish.

Congrats! Within 48 hours your eBook will be live on Amazon Kindle marketplace.

STEP 4 – UPLOAD YOUR EBOOK ON DRAFT2DIGITAL

Now you need to upload your eBook to the direct Amazon competitors and launch it for free

so Amazon match the price – $0.00.

You’ve already created an account so go to https://www.draft2digital.com/book/ and click

ADD NEW BOOK. Then follow the steps. Quite simple.

In the Description field, you should not use your HTML code but just regular text.

If all went good, in a few days your eBook will be live on iBooks, 24symbols, Barnes&Noble,

Kobo, and more.

Once that happens you contact Amazon and tell them to match the price.

Provide Amazon with the links to your eBook on the Amazon competitors’ websites.

STEP 5 – YOUR FIRST 20 REVIEWS

Now it’s very important once your eBook is live to ask your friends, partners, students, etc. to

write a review. This will help you boost ranking and put your free eBook in front of more

people.

IMPORTANT: Tell your friends to buy the eBook for $0.00 and go through the pages and

wait at least 48 hours before they leave a review. Otherwise Amazon might decide that you do

something that’s not right and they might not publish the review.
 STEP 6 – PROMOTE YOUR EBOOK HERE

Once your eBook is live, use Reddit to drive some enrollments and improve ranking.
