CHAPTER ONE
1.0. INTRODUCTION
I attended Jephthah Comprehensive Secondary School, Rumuome Ozouba in Port Harcourt, Rivers State
where I obtained my Senior Secondary School Certificates, precisely West African Examination Council
(WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) in 2002. In 2003, I gained admission into Niger Delta
University (NDU) to study medicine and surgery. However, in year 2007, I quit NDU to accept a Rivers State
Government Foreign Scholarship to study Engineering. I obtained my Master’s degree (MSc.) in Oil and
Gas Engineering from University of Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom, while in 2012, I obtained my
B.Eng. (Hons) Chemical Engineering from Curtin University. I have worked at Sterling, Technical Services,
SingTel Communications and most recently Borkir International Company Limited wherein I have learned
a lot on the job. I have extensive knowledge of oil and gas processing and microbial enhanced oil recovery
as I did related modules where I gained knowledge in my undergraduate and master’s program.

During my Bachelor’s degree, I partook in voluntary and professional training. I engaged in a four months
internship with Total Energies Nigeria in Ogbogu Flow Station and Obite Gas Plant, both in the OML 58
operations base of the company. During these 4 months period, I worked as a process engineer intern
which helped me gain first-hand knowledge of plant operations, which includes, monitoring of the human
machine interface (DCS) and maintaining process parameters at standard set points and range, logged on
process parameter from the human machine interface and engaging in daily preventive maintenance while
ensuring the operation of productive assets in a safe and acceptable manner.

After the completion of my first studies, I settled for the one-year compulsory National Youth Service Corp
(NYSC) in 2015 with my primary place of assignment being Glorious God Academy, Ezi-Orsu, Imo State,
Nigeria. During this one-year-compulsory national service, I taught Mathematics and Geography to Senior
Secondary School 1 – 3 (SSS 1 – SSS 3) students. I developed lesson plans & notes and ensured that
students were well taught and prepared students for external examinations like the Senior Secondary
School Certificate Examination and Joint Admission Matriculation Examination.

In June 2016, I started working for a family business Technical Services as Project Coordinator. TECHNICAL
SERVICES is a private engineering firm that provides engineering and general services to oil and gas
companies especially Total Energies Nigeria within its OML 58 operations and host communities. As a
project coordinator for Technical Services, I was tasked with the responsibility of ensuring community-
based projects carried out by TotalEnergies as its Corporate Social Responsibility for its host communities
are executed, completed, commissioned and handed-over to the host community under strict adherence
to company policy and standards. More so, I had to stay informed about community affairs on all project
related issues and reported to the same to the Managing Director, performing administrative tasks,
supervising subprojects and teams, and engaging stakeholders in project review meetings. In this role, it
was my responsibility to strike a balance between company objectives and community interests whilst
delivering projects that has positive impacts on the host communities.

In September 2019, I joined Sterling Exploration and Energy Production Company, Lagos, Nigeria
as a Project Coordinator. In this capacity in 2019, I managed and coordinated project execution,
completion, commissioning and handover activities for a 125MMSCFD C-125 Gas Processing Plant
in Kwale, Delta State, Nigeria. The gas processing plant has a plant area of 1000m x 1000m with
products such as lean/residue gas, propane, butane, LPG and C5+. It has several systems which
includes, the inlet gas system, dehydration system, cryogenic system, fractionation system,
instrument air system, RO system, storage system, and the firewater system etc.

In October 2022, I joined DANSA Holdings Limited as a project coordinator in Charge of a 30,000
BPD Condensate Modular Refinery where I act as the primary focal person for all technical and
commercial activities related to the 30000bbl/d condensate refinery project as well as other oil
& gas-related projects of the company. More so, I coordinate all aspects of these projects in line
with company's desired goals and objectives. Currently, I oversee the preliminary activities of the
condensate refinery ensuring that land acquisition process and other project related activities are
well managed with all relevant stakeholders well informed.

I possess a broad range of technical and professional effectiveness, using logical methods for
decision making to effectively cope with the dynamic nature of chemical, petrochemical, oil and
gas projects and I have been able to make use of the best available resource and technique. I am
an enthusiastic and motivated individual with clear understanding of the roles and
responsibilities associated with being a chemical engineer in an evolving world of engineering.
