Ecosystems are very dynamic. The change may be slow and difficult to perceive over short periods,
such as the establishment of pioneer species such as mosses and lichens in a mined-over area, or it
may be rapid as in the case of a forest fire. Ultimately, most ecosystems reach a fairly stable stage
compared to those that preceded it. This is called a climax community.
There are two types of ecological succession: first, there is primary succession and then the more
common and recognizable one, the secondary succession. You as an environmentalist will identify
an area; it should be a known ecosystem with a definite name and geographical coordinates. Identify
a place, its history, the evolution of the geographical location, and the succession processes.
Create a digital poster, a maximum of 5 pages, explaining all the above-mentioned points. Attach
pictures as proofs and add relevant historical data and references. Use interesting and clear fonts.
Try to include as many relevant visuals to make your poster not just visually apt, but informative as
well. Check for spelling errors and grammatical accuracy. The poster should have a title and a
conclusion which highlights the process and relevancy of succession.
