Madsen A450 in Otosuite: General Software Overview

Air/Bone Conduction Thresholds
From the Control Panel, choose the following:
Test Ear: Press the R or L key on keyboard, or click the symbol
that corresponds to the test ear
Transducer: click the desired transducer icon,
clicking on the AC icon will toggle between insert and phone

Stimulus: click the desired stimulus icon, pulsed

may be selected with either Tone or Warble
Masking: activate by clicking the on-screen mask button
or pressing the M key on keyboard
Tone Presentation: Press the spacebar on keyboard, or click
the on-screen Present button
Changing Intensity: Press the up/down arrow keys on
keyboard, or click the on-screen blue arrows
Changing Frequencies: Press the left/right arrow keys on
keyboard, or click the on-screen blue arrows
Storing Thresholds: Press the S key on keyboard, or click the
on-screen Store button
No Response: Hold the S key on keyboard, or right click on the
response and select “Insert ‘No response’”

Speech Testing
Load Test Type: Click the appropriate test button to begin (e.g.,
, , , ) red for right or blue for left ear
Select Wordlist: Select the desired wordlist from the
dropdowns if the list did not prepopulate
Changing Intensity: press the up/down arrow keys on
keyboard, or click the on-screen blue arrows
Presenting Words: click Play or press F5 key on keyboard,
or hover to the left of the word and select play manually
Scoring Test: Press the plus and minus keys on keyboard, or
click the on-screen buttons or ; this also allows for
advancement of the words when “Play On Count” is enabled
Storing Results: press the S key on keyboard, or click the on-
screen Store button
Additional Options – from the control panel, choose the Test Type: Select the test type from the icons
following: To perform speech testing to both ears at different intensities:
Input: Select from Monitored Live Voice or embedded wordlists
Click on the Masking hyperlink and select either
by clicking the icons Mic or Source A
