It is correct that the area of region A is equal to

the sum of the area of region B and region C.

What is a right-angle triangle?

It is a triangle in which one of the angles is 90
degrees and the other two are sharp angles.
The sides of a right-angled triangle are known
as the hypotenuse, perpendicular, and base.

Suppose the diameter of A, B and C will be a, b

and c respectively.

As a result, the area of the semicircle is,

A = 1/2π(d/2)²
A = (π/8) d²

The square of the hypotenuse in a right-angled

triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of
the other two sides. In right angle triangle,

a² = b² +c² ----(1)

The areas of regions A, B, and C will be (π/8)

a², (π/8) b², and (π/8) c² respectively.

Multiply (π/8) in equation 1 we get,

(π/8) a² = (π/8) b² +(π/8) c²

As a result,
area of region A=area of region B+ area of
region C

Thus, it is correct that the area of region A is

equal to the sum of the area of region B and
region C.
