students cooperate with one another to
accomplish a common objective. It occurs when
learners are given the opportunity to contribute to

responsible for producing outputs or sharing
knowledge. And the last C is Creativity. It allows

engage/explore/experience/empathize? Please share
your ideas.
Ans: Engage as an event in the teaching and learning
is providing opportunity for learners to actively
participate in an activity. Explore, on the other hand,
refers to an opportunity to discover new concepts and
ideas. While, experience refers to an event in the
teaching and learning that will allow learners the
opportunity to apply the KSA in their daily life, and for

Ask: Based on that very broad research, what

cognitive principles have been formed?
Ans. The Cognitive Principles are:
2 1. Learners learn new ideas by reference to Slide Deck
mins ideas they already know. 58-62
2. Information is often withdrawn from
memory just as it went in.
3. Each subject area has some set of facts that, if
committed to long-term memory, aids problem-
solving by freeing working memory resources and
illuminating contexts in which existing knowledge
and skills can be applied.
4. The transfer of knowledge or skills to a novel
problem requires knowledge of the problem’s
context and a deep understanding of the
problem’s underlying structure.
5. Beliefs about intelligence are important predictors
of student behavior in school. The need to ensure
that developmentally appropriate teaching and
learning processes are employed.
Note: A more detailed explanation can be found on
the slide deck’s notes.
