• We are in Session 1 which is the General Shape of the MATATAG

• I am Isabel A. Victorino, and I will be facilitating a session entitled The
General Shape of the MATATAG Curriculum. My presentation will
cover a brief explanation of the context of the K to 12 Program, curriculum
review process and factors which guided the revisions, salient features
of the MATATAG Curriculum, and spirations and ways forward of the
MATATAG Curriculum.
• In this session, you will be oriented with the general shape of the
MATATAG Curriculum. At the end of this session, you are all expected to
attain four session objectives: (a.) demonstrate understanding on the

(b.) describe the curriculum revision process and factors which guided
the revisions; (c.) identify the salient features of the MATATAG

activity first, called the Hot Air Balloon Retrospective. Hot air Balloon

• Let me discuss to you the mechanics. I will be distributing colored meta

cards. Each color represents the element in the retrospective: Hot air,
orange, or yellow, blue for sunny skies, brown for sandbags and gray
for dark clouds. Four questions will be posted on the screen, and you
will write your answers, maybe a word or phrase on the colored meta
cards.
• These are the questions:

implementation because teachers must be trained, and learning resources
