Early life of Jose Rizal
Jose Rizal was born on June 19, 1861, in
Calamba, Laguna, Philippines.
He hailed from a well-educated family
and was the seventh of eleven children.
Rizal's early education was strongly
influenced by his mother, Teodora
Alonzo, who was a teacher.
